Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is a 1934 Ford Model B pickup project/builder.Read carefully...I'm sure you've heard this before, but here goes.....this 34 ford truck has been in my family since the late 1950's !!!!!!! My grandfather owned a gas station and this was sitting in one of the buildings on the property,it was taken apart and was starting to be turned into a hot rod of the time, but in 1970 or so when the gas station was closed down, the truck had to go.My uncle and godfather obtained it and turned it into what is pictured. There is one pic I showed of this actual truck in that year ,1970, to show you it has been owned for at least that long by us. With that,I obtained the truck around 2002,but being more into musclecars, and not older hot rod/ratrod cars and trucks, and not to mention it will be another 15 years before I would ever do anything with,I am going to see if someone has to have it!!!! Basically, the way it was described to me over the years, back in the day you used whatever you got your hands on,and in this case,my uncle got a 65 Mustang donor and pulled all the drivetrain out for this truck. So what you see in and on this truck is all 1965 Mustang ,...289 2bbl,3 speed stick, radiator, clutch pedals, steering column, steering box,8'' rear, and gas tank. It did run at one time but has not run in a long time, and quite honestly I did not even try to start or even try to turn the motor over.As I said, this is a builder and you would be ripping it apart anyway. The truck still has its front and rear original transverse leaf springs. The headlight bar is gone. The grill shell is there and in very good shape. All the orig panels are there as well, along with 2 new repo wider rear fiberglass fenders. It is missing the glass in the doors, and the rear window. The front window is there and works. It has early 70's period Stewart Warner gauges, they still look great!!!!The orig firewall was removed for a 3/4'' plywood one with a polished stainless panel over it(flat). The frame has been shortened in the back as well as the bed has been cut down and shortened.Running boards are in very nice shape. The rear orig fenders need some work if you want to use them, rust, patches, etc.I had all the bed pieces and side skirts to eng compartment sandblasted and then epoxy primed. There is a pic of the side of the frame,on which you can see a plate that was welded on.,both sides. There was a rot hole there and was strenthenmed up with those plates.Again, this truck is a project for you hotrod builders, but over all very complete and a great starting point. I also have various latches that would go on the skirts to eng comp, and ford V8 emblems, and the trim that goes on the grill shell, couple door handles, etc. I cannot find vin numbers on this truck so if you are interested you can explain to me where they might be.I just recently moved out of a storgae place to another one ,so I would need some advance for those who are serious and want to see it.This is why I gave alot of pictures,so you see just about everything on and in this truck. The front rims and tires DO NOT GO WITH THE TRUCK,there would be a set of roller tires/wheels on it.Overall, this is a very solid truck for its age,all the orig sheetmetal is there, other than what I mentioned about the frame, the front of the frame is in very nice orig shape,as well as the cab never been chopped(yet). Think that is about it,also ,I reserve the right to end the auction as it is for sale locally. Good luck, and happy bidding!!!!! On Dec-03-11 at 11:38:47 PST, seller added the following information: Update !!!!! For those of you that are in contact with me and anyone else who is seriously interested,I went to the truck today ,and found the vin # stamped on the frame rail right next to the driv fender on top.I knew I saw it years ago when i first got the truck, but could'nt remember where they were.It is a "star" 2 digit,dash,7 more digits and another "star" to close it off.So the truck does have a legible vin to see and register it by.Did take pics of it,but cannot add to my 24 already here on ebay. Also,I have lowered the reserve to make more bidders able to obtain it. And last, Tom L from Pa,I'm sorry,I was cleaning out my mail with all the messages, and wiped yours out before I got to reply to you about you wanting to call me and/or come see it,just message me again and I will get right back to you,as I do with all the other people sending messages. Thank you all for interest, and as always, will answer you promptly of info you want to know.
