Vehicle Detail
This is a great old western Ford truck originally sold new in Boulder, Colorado. It was repainted by the previous owner sometime in the 1980’s. I purchased it in Colorado in 1994. Since I have owned the truck, I have installed new kingpins, shock absorbers (coil over in the rear), mufflers, brakes, tires, windshield, sun visors, interior door panels, sliding rear window, seat belts, clutch, master cylinder, vacuum power brake booster, carburetor, factory rebuilt 390 V8 with RV cam (@113,166 miles). I drove the truck in Colorado until 2000 and then moved it to the garage of our summer home in northern NY where it is now. Since then it has been used only when we are there in the summertime (~300 miles/year). The odometer now shows 146,600 original miles. It has never seen salt and in the 18 years that I have owned it I have never driven it in the winter. It also has an external spotlight, rubber bed liner, and I replaced the original AM tube radio (which is included) with an AM/FM stereo cassette deck (no dash modifications). It has power brakes, an 8' bed, a factory installed side lockable toolbox and auxiliary fuel tank, and a heavy duty receiver hitch and electric trailer brake unit, and a Dana posi rear. The truck in in very good condition with just a bit of bubbling paint & minor rust on the front fenders (see photo), ~1” a rust hole on the vertical riser above the sill plate visible only when the driver’s door is open and the usual rusty surfaces on the under side you would expect on a 47 year old truck but all in all, the truck is solid and in good condition. There is also a scratch on the left side which was there when I bought the truck from a key or branch? (See photo). The bench seat is in good condition but needs to be recovered. It has a saddle blanket seat cover on it now. I have receipts for all service and work on the truck since 1994. The Optima battery shown in the photos was recently replaced with a new (non-Optima) battery. The truck runs terrific, fast and strong and shifts perfectly (4-Speed with Granny Low). It is a wonderful driver just as it is and/or a great starter for restoration. It is offered for sale As-is/Where-is with no warranty expressed or implied. Please contact me with any questions about the truck before you bid or if you would like any additional information. Deposit via PayPal, remaining balance due via cashier's check or wire transfer.
