This is the one you've been looking for! I am finally selling my 1992 Toyota Pickup with shift on the fly 4-wheel drive, extended cab, and 5-speed manual transmission. It is powered by Toyota's amazingly reliable 2.4L 4-cylinder engine. I am the second owner, and I have driven this truck almost every day for the past eight years. It has been an absolutely great truck for me and my family. The truck typically gets 21-24 mpg and has required very few repairs. I am selling it now because the cab does not have a good spot for the car seat for my youngest son and because the air-conditioner does not work. After record setting heat all summer, I was ready for a change. I purchased the truck in Minnesota in 2003 from the original owner. It has never been in an accident. The body panels are rusty as you would expect for "northern" truck of this age. The clutch started slipping in 2008. I took it to a Toyota mechanic and his advice was "Drive it until the clutch totally goes out, then replace the clutch." It is a hydraulic clutch that cannot be adjusted. Well, I've been driving it daily for three years since then, and the clutch continues to work. The slipping has never been more than a minor annoyance for me. In about September, the front seal on the rear differential started leaking when the truck is being driven. I have had that seal replaced a couple years ago, and I just haven't gotten around to getting it fixed this time. I have thoroughly enjoyed this truck. I expect that this truck has years of useful life remaining, but of course, I am offering no guarantees. I'll be glad to answer your questions by email to the best of my ability. The truck includes a full size spare, but it is not under the bed in the designated spot because the release mechanism froze up and had to be cut off (common problem). I'll have the spare in the bed when you pick it up. Also, the speakers are not great. They work but some have a noticeable buzz. I still use them and just set my balance and volume to minimize the buzz.
