Vehicle Detail

Listed here is a 69 Buick Special (skylark) street/strip car that has all working items to drive on the road,....lights,blinkers,heater,wipers,horn,etc and take to the track. Engine: 455 Buick, .040 over, 9.8:1 cr,heads have been converted to stage1 stainless steel valves and milled .010,crank scraper,SFI flexplate, high torque mini starter,T/A performance HPC coated stage1 intake, valve covers, headers. T/A 113 cam.HEI with Pertronix kit in it,850 Quickfuel carb built by PMR Racing setup for this combo,HVH 2" spacer, and K+N extreme aircleaner.Aluminum 1'' double core radiator.160 T-stat,and stays at that whenever or wherever you drive.Oil pressure is awesome,30-40 psi after warmed up,quickly jumps up when you get in it. Fuel system: 16 gallon fuel cell in trunk, filter under car, holley blue pump,1/2'' fuel line going up to front regulator.Optima battery also in trunk with switch on bumper. Tranny: turbo 400,10'' 3,800 convertor, line lock, Dennys 3 1/2" driveshaft. Rear: 12 bolt built by JD Race, everything new...Eaton posi,3:73's,bearings,seals,33 spline axles with 1/2'' screw in studs, brakes all new,HD yoke, aluminum cover with preload to bearings, tubes have been welded, square tube upper/lower control arms with braces, drag shocks. Body: Very very clean solid car ,no rust on the hood, fenders, doors, trunk lid, trunk floor, floors, inner front fenders. The only rust area needing to be repaired is the 1/4 panels. They had been previuosly repaired, typical body filler job ,and need new skins to be put on,which I do have and come with the purchase of this car.Has a steel cowl scoop weled on orig hood, air cleaner is up inside the scoop when closed. The original color of this car was Lime Mist Poly. Interior: Was an auto on the column car, column was changed to a floor shift column.New carpet, headliner, rest was orig, and dyed from the orig creme color.Dash and door panels are perfect.Speedo does'nt work.Tach with shift light, oil, water, amp gauges new and all work.Ratchet shifter with working neutral safety.Digital repo Buick AM/FM radio,6x9 speakers. Brakes: Manual drums all around, rear as said all new.Car also has power steering. Exhaust : T/A headers,3" H-pipe,flowmasters with turn downs. Wheels: Weld 15x3 1/2 fronts,15x7 on back with MT ET Streets 275/60's. This car is fully turn key, already tuned at the track, starts up,runs great,no issues with overheating, etc. The times that this car runs are very respectable for what it is , 11.90's-12.00 with 1.61-1.62 sixty foot times,at 110-111 mph thru the exhaust and on 93 octane pump gas,,very very reliable and unbeleivably consistent, even from 95 degree july days to 38 degree oct days .Makes for a great bracket car.Shift points are 5,200-5,300 rpm. What usually happens with cars like these is my loss is your gain as I can assure you there is way more in this car than my reserve and would cost you alot more to duplicate.Never mind build your own and hope you have no issues with your new, freshly built motor, and not to mention get it all tuned in.Basically body/paint and you would have a real nice looking/running car. The pic of the rear is the old rear, the new rear in my description looks exactly the same, except the brace bars that come off the cover are not installed, but do come with the sale of the car if you want to re-install them. Also, one of the turn downs out of the muffler fell out,and do not currently have on. I encourage and welcome inspection of the car in person. I also reserve the right to end the auction early as it is for sale locally. Please only serious bidders, only bid if you have the funds.Good luck and happy bidding !!!!!On Nov-23-11 at 16:00:53 PST, seller added the following information: For those who have asked for more pics, here are the ones you have asked about.Disregard the first pic of the rear, the new one is of the new rear in the car.
