Up for auction is a 1958 MGA coupe 1500. This is an original California car, with California title and license plates. This car is newly restored from the frame up. The frame has been separately sand blasted and painted with a clear coat paint. The body has been cleaned the same way, primed, and painted separately with a 2 stage paint (with a clear coat) and polished very well. All body panels are original, nothing has been changed. All are in good shape. The only thing changed has been the wooden floorboards. The engine has been restored by a classic car engine specialist. The things that have been changed are the pistons, ring set, and main bearings. The sizes for these are standard. All the gaskets and seals have also been changed, as well as the engine head. Radiator has been restored by the specialist as well. All the mechanical parts are in great shape. All brake systems are new, including brake shoes, pipes, and cylinders. The shocks have been rebuilt. All the mechanical pieces have been separately restored and repainted. The car has complete new wiring, and a new battery. Tires look like new. Gas tank is new. Interior has new carpeting, new seat covers, new door panel set, and new headliner. After restoration, I've test driven it a couple times. It runs well, but I believe it still needs some minor adjustments in the carbs or timing, which I haven't made. The engine specialist recommended that adjustments be made to the valves after the car has been driven for a while longer. I intended to keep the car, but due to financial problems, I am hoping to sell it as quickly as possible. For non-local bidders, it is your responsibility to arrange for shipping.
