Vehicle Detail

1970 PONTIAC GRAND PRIX "MODEL J" ALL Matching Numbers! Original 92,475 mile car The Duffy family owned, since new , stored, in their barn, on their farm, in Lancaster, Ma., since 1979! Original & completely unmolested "XH" 400 ci. 360HP - 4 bbl. motor ( not run since 1979) Original turbo 400 transmission, driveshaft, & 3.55 to 1 Limited Slip rear end! Factory A/C,Power Steering, & Optional Power Disc Brakes! Original Console , Floor Shifter, Bucket Seats, & the 1970 date coded seat beats! Original Vinyl Roof , Tinted Glass, & the rare Chrome Trimmed Original "Tilt" Steering Wheel, in excellent condition! Original paint with some surface rust. The engine ran when stored, in the barn ,32 years ago. Marvel Mystery Oil will free it up. It rolls, steers, and the brakes work. The car is very straight. THE RUST YOU SEE IS THE RUST IT HAS! This is an original paint car with some surface rust! NOT A BONDO BUCKET! We dissassembled the complete interior to evaluate the floors , we removed the original rugs, cleaned the panels, and they are now just set in place. The original hardware was saved, as well as the original date coded seat belts. The bucket seat back panels are in excellent condition, the original back seat is also in very nice condition. The car has it's rare original "140 MPH" speedometer The Pontiac Historical Society documentation is available for this car from GM Sold with a "Bill of Sale" Titles were not required "back in the day" when this car was stored in their barn, in Lancaster,Ma. in 1979 It has it's documented history. Owned by the Duffy family since new. *Note: The factory 140 speedometer is correct for the 1970 GTO, as are the Perfect Chrome trimmed Steering wheel, tilt-column, bucket seats, back seat, never mind the optional 15" rally wheels, in excellent condition. The turbo 400 transmission is also in excellent condition, with only it's 92,475 original miles. The doors are rust free, the original tinted glass is excellent, the bumpers are straight as an arrow and rechromeable, etc. The exhaust manifolds, intake manifold, quadrajet carb, air cleaner, all engine brackets, distributor, original alternator, large valve cylinder heads, a/c compressor, radiator & shroud, etc. etc. are all correct date coded for the 1970 GTOs . We thought it would be a shame to part out such an original car! Where have you seen one of these lately! We knew the car since new ,and just recently rescued it from under the hay bales, in our old friends barn. Just needs a few minor floor repairs near the seat belt bolt areas, from condensation, not the usual salt rust areas, as it was not driven in the winter. Media blast the painted surfaces, primer it, drive & enjoy the Thumbs Up! while you detail it up! or drive a Classy Rat Rod!!!with A/C very soon. We are now in process of freeing the rings up, with Marvel Mystery Oil. That 360HP 400 Motor should run." This Mother Ship" of Pontiac Performance should be able to teach some "GTO" Freaks, a few lessons sooner than you think! WE WILL NOT PART THIS OUT!!!! PONTIAC POWER RULES!!!! In respect to this vehicle it will be sold at no reserve, it's not about the money! Wheels Up ! Ray & The Gang @ Ray's Hot Rod Garage
