1972 GMC 1/2 ton, two wheel drive, shortbed truck. Originally from the state of Washington. This is a basic, plain truck, with only one factory option, passenger side outside mirror. It has its original 250 c.i. six cylinder, with manual three speed on the column, manual choke. It has manual steering, and manual disc brakes. The truck has been lowered, using all components from Early Classics. They specialize in early GM trucks, selling only quality, US Made products. The kit that was used is a 4"/ 6" drop, which uses a drop spindle and spring in the front, and a drop spring in the rear. It also includes a fully adjustable track bar, to center the rearend. The kit also included all new KYB shocks. I followed their lead with wheels and tires, using the exact wheel and tire combo, 15" x 8" truck rallyes, (with new GM trim rings and center caps) and BF Goodrich Radial T/A 245 /60/15 front, and 275/60/15 rear. The truck runs and drives great, especially for a lowered truck. All lights and gauges work as they should. It has an aftermarket radio installed, detachable face with a CD player. The truck is its original color combo (Ochre/ white painted bumpers). It has been repainted at one time, and is driver quality at best. The former owner "touched up" several scratches/spots, with what appears to be a mop. The truck has rust in several areas, common to these trucks, but is better than most. The bed is very good. It will need rockers soon, drivers side is the worst of the two. Cab corners will follow. Most of the body mounts are still good, along with the floor. Great resto project, or enjoy as is. Clear Illinois Title. Cool little plain jane truck. Fun to drive, gets lots of looks, and "thumbs up". Always starts and runs, can be trusted, even does fairly well on gas.
