I bought this car on ebay one year ago so my wife could use it. Unfortunately for me I was not aware this convertible top is NOT motorized. You have to raise and lower the soft top manually. Because of this the car is more of a hassle for us than a help. It will come with the appropriate hard top as well and the Mercedes tool needed to lock tops in place.I had the car checked out when I bought it and so most everything works. Tires good. Brakes good. AIR CONDITIONING WORKS! Power windows work. Wipers work, I had a new rheostat installed so dash lights work. Turn signals work. When I got the car the heat stayed on all the time. My mechanic said I could spend over a thousand dollars and fix it according to the book but offered a $100 fix by placing a switch under the hood that could easily be set the way you want it (anywhere from wide open to completely shut or anywhere in between). There is a photo of this switch. The center console has some deterioration but can be replaced or repaired. The body is solid so it won't be falling apart from rust but there are imperfections around (see photo of trunk lid, you'll see). This car is AMAZING on the expressway. There's a tear on the drivers seat. Replacement is available online and there are people out there who specialize in this. If you are in the Chicago area I can give you the name/number of a guy who does this work. You will probably at some point want to re-pad the drivers seat. The odometer does not work. It reads 159,000 and change but it must be more, how many more I don't know. Just had coolant hoses replaced and oil changed. NO LEAKS. I am telling you everything about the car. I have bought a few cars on ebay and believe me these sellers did not tell all.
