'62 Chevy C10 Stepside Short Bed - New Paint - Most Parts are Here! See List Below ALSO: See the special bonus below that I'll include at the Buy it Now price listed! Solid TruckAny Area of Rust was Sand Blasted and ProtectedExcellent Floor PansNew Paint 2 Months Ago Why I'm Selling: Everybody always wants to know why someone would sell an old truck they've dumped a lot of time and money into. I have another '66 Longbed C10 project I use as my daily driver that I want to paint and drop a new engine in. My new house doesn't have a garage yet, so I can't have all of these projects going on at the same time. I love this truck, but I either need to store it till spring or sell it. 1962 Chevy C10 Stepside Restoration in progress. Truck has been off frame, sand blasted, and painted. The floors are perfect. Truck is a stepside with wood bed that needs to be built. I have the bolt kit, just need to get the decking to complete. I am located in Braselton, GA, so you're going to have to pickup the truck. The truck has been painted candy apple red metallic, frame painted black. Here is a link to all the photos: Truck Photos on Flickr No reserve. Starting the bids at $1,000 What it DOESN'T Have: Windshield Passenger Side window Side view mirrors Emblems NO ENGINE NO TRANSMISSION What it DOES Have: Back window Drivers side window Door panels Rally wheels Bed bolt kit (If I don't build/install the bed) Front bumper Rear bumper Hood Bed wheel wells New tailgate Extra front passenger side quarter panel Rust sand blasted away New candy apple red metallic paint I am trying to sell this truck offline, so if I do have the right to remove this auction from ebay. If you want more pictures sent to your email or have questions, please message me and I will answer as soon as I can or leave me your phone # to call you back. Thanks. **UPDATE FROM SOME QUESTIONS: Q. Is it a short bed and is there rust in the doors? A.It is a short bed. There was some rust in the normal places you'd see on a '62, but NOT on the doors, floors, roof, or top of the hood which is very rare. There was rust on the under side of the hood and inside the front wheel wells that has been blasted away primed and painted. The front passenger side fender was really not up to my standards once it was already completed so I got another another one that is included in the sale if you choose to replace it. All in all, the truck is a very solid '62. The paint job is nice. There is one scratch on that front fender where the hood slipped that could easily be touched up and buffed out. There is A LOT of money in this truck as it sits, even at the buy it now price, someone would be getting a good deal. If you're local, you're welcome to come take a look. Q. Do you have the interior? A. I trashed the old seat and carpet. I have the original gauges, but they need to be cleaned up. I think most people replace them anyway. I do have extra steering column that is included in the sale if you'd like to put a floor shifter in, which is what I was going to do. Q. Are the floor pans rusted out, would they have to be replaced? A. Floor in the cab looks new, like it rolled off the assembly line. Q. Do you have the wood for the decking in the bed? Is this included? A. I don't have the decking for the wood bed. If I don't sell the truck, I might build the wood bed and try to sell it again. I do have the bolt kit for this bed, but not the wood. I figured I would hold off, because I'd probably use pine and it would be a turn off for someone who might rather use oak or something else. If I can't sell it, I will use pine and put it back on the market a little higher priced. Q. Would you take $x,xxx cash today for it? A. I really appreciate the offers, but I am interested in seeing how the auction will go. It's only been on here a short while. If you have an offer, I would still like to see it. As I said, I am still trying to sell it offline while the auction is going. Q. Does it run? A. With all due respect, I tried to spell it out on here that there is no engine. I do have two drive shafts included. So, please know that there is no engine or transmission in the truck. Q. Watching the video, it sure looks like pin-holes that I can see light thru. I watched video over and over again and I am positive floors have rust cancer holes. A. I can assure you that any rust on this truck was blasted away and the area treated. The holes that you may be talking about are the factory holes where the screws go for the kickplate. I can see that in the video. If anyone needs a photo of that I can email it to you. The area above that there was some surface rust that was blasted down to metal and primed/painted. Q. Would you be interested in a trade? A. Sorry, like I said, one project is good enough for me right now. If I don't sell it, I may consider a trade in the spring. I'll be looking for a '70-'72 Chevelle next year once I get my garage built. **BONUS for BUY IT NOW PRICE** I also have a freshly rebuilt Chevy 305 motor with all new pistons, bearings, seals that I would be willing to include at the buy it now price. Likely a $1000+ value. Look around on Ebay. All you'd need is a 350 tranny and you'd be on road in no time. On Nov-20-11 at 10:01:19 PST, seller added the following information: Q. What is the BUY IT NOW price? A. The "Buy it Now" price was set at $4500, but it has been removed. I didn't know that the "Buy it Now" option disappears after the first bid is placed. I thought it stayed there while the auction was ongoing. That is why you aren't seeing the "buy it now" price anymore. I'm still accepting offers offline and will include the 305 motor if the auction exceeds $4500 to be fair to the original posting in the ad. Sorry for the confusion. On Nov-21-11 at 11:01:19 PST, seller added the following information: Q. What was the original color of the truck? Do you have the title in hand? I live in North Carolina. A. I really don't remember what the original color of the truck was. I bought it from an older guy here in GA who had it sitting in his garage with primer from years ago. We don't have titles on vehicles of this age in GA. You can contact my tag office to verify this for yourself. Any '62 you buy here is going to be on a bill of sale and no title will be issued. Any state should honor the law in GA pertaining to truck titles. On Nov-24-11 at 08:09:35 PST, seller added the following information: I've been getting a lot of messages from people asking me to take the truck off Ebay for a cash offer of $X,XXX. At this point, I'd really like to just see how the auction goes. If it ends up selling for less than what I was trying to get, $4500, so be it. This is my first time selling a truck on Ebay and I'd like to see it through to the end of the auction. I appreciate the offers. Thank you.
