1956 MGA Roadster Restoration Project 1956 MGA Restoration Project that is pretty much complete Vin # HDA43-14386. Looking on the web on the vin # H= MGA, D= Roadster, A= Black Color, 4= Left Hand Drive & North American Delivery, and 3= Laquer Paint. The motor turns well and we have pickled it with Atf Fluid. The owner said the motor and transmission are the original to the car and the motor # is BP15GB 4416. The carbs are off the motor but we have them complete with some of the air cleaner parts. Water pump is off the motor and looks to be the reason that the car was no longer driven. Transmission is reported to still be good and the original one to the car. We have many little bags of nuts and bolts and small little assemblies that go with the car. One wheel is missing and there is no spare. The tonneau cover is there but we have not found the top frame. The seller thinks he has it but it has not appeared yet. The mileage shows 00005 and the trip indicator is zeroed so we do not know the actual mileage but it is probably 100,005.
