I am selling my '92 Fleetwood Cadillac Brougham. I purchased the car for prestige from a newly-wed couple with a newborn baby. I have owned this car for a little over 1 year. Recently, the engine has started to make a knocking sound. Based on my desrciption and location of the noise, a Coulter Cadillac Mechanic says this seems to be a broken push-rod and/or fulcrum. (2nd opinion)- a local mechanic says in worst case, a rebuild on the engine will range from $800-$1200, but a used engine and drop-in would be a lot cheaper. There is a scratch on the driver side rear fender but not dented luckily (see picture). Seems like it happened while someone was making a u-turn. I am in no position financially and do not have the time to place the vehicle in the shop. This is NOT a NorthStar Engine. This has the Chevy 350 V8 (5.7) Liter Engine. This is the last year for this Classic Body Style. More pics upon request. I am asking for the worth of the vehicle minus non-operational status.
