Vehicle Detail
I am selling my 1977 Corvette which runs, shifts, stops and drives good. I will try to explain as much as possible about it, but feel free to email, call or come by and drive it. This is a numbers matching car (engine & tranny) with the original tan interior which matches the door code. The inside: Original tan leather seats, tan dash and door panels. The dash is not cracked. All the gauges work fine including the speedometer and tach. Clock does not work. Turn signals, interior lights and headlights work fine. The headlights and windows go up and down without a problem. Remote driver side mirror works. This is a cruise control and a/c car; however they do not seem to be working. The last owner told me his dad removed the a/c belt because it helped with gas milage (who knows). Windsheild wipers and cd player work fine. Carpet has been removed. Part of the driver seat and door panels are cracking/split. All windows are in great shape. All trim is there. The outside: The car looks nice and I get plenty of compliments. The t-tops are in good shape and go on and off without a problem. The car was originally white and may still be the original paint. For the most part it has a decent shine. The paint looks fair; there are scratches, chips and cracks in it. I will try to show it in the pictures. Door handles work fine and look good. The wheels are in good shape, they could use a good shine. The tires are fair, maybe half tread left. All exterior window moldings are there. Underneath there is very little surface rust here and there as this was a Nevada car most of its life. The last owner must have decided to drive off a curb because the fiberglass is damaged near the bottom close to the rear bumper. Looks like the rear bumper could be replaced due to this damage. The damage is cosmetic only and does not affect anything else. The engine compartment: The engine runs smooth and cool, no knocks, smoke, misses or weird noises. The transmission shifts fine. One of the power steering hoses has a leak so the last owner just stopped putting fluid in it. It turns fine as a manual, I just have not messed with it. Brakes work fine and dont leak fluid. Newer cap, rotor, plugs and wires. Has chrome valve covers and original pan type air cleaner cover with newer filter. I put a new starter on it last week. All together this is a good corvette, sure it needs some work; however it runs, drives and looks good. I enjoy driving this car and it still gets it share of attention. I do have a clean, clear Florida title in my name in hand. I have tried to list and explain everything I can because if you check my feedback I believe in being as honest as possible. Please do not hesitate to let me know if you have any questions or want to come and check it out.
