No ReserveHighest Bidder Gets This Truck This is auction is for my 1996 Chevy 3500. This is a 4x4 with the 6.5L High Output Diesel. I had this truck sold locally but the buyer arrived with no cash so I am re-listing it on Ebay with no reserve...highest bidder gets the truck. Everything works on this truck and it runs excellent. This truck is reliable and I would trust it to drive anywhere. It was recently inspected (Pennsylvania) and is good until July 2012. Mechanics: This motor sounds great and runs great. It has plenty of power and no blow by or smoke. It has very low mileage at less than 108,000 miles. The 4L80E tranny shifts perfect and is strong. Here is a list of some new parts etc.. New remote mounted PMD with #9 resistor (Pump Mounted Driver) - These engines were notorious for un-reliability for this part alone. Once an aftermarket part was manufactured they really run quite well.(the resistor gives it more fuel)New crossover pipe and mandrel bent 3" downpipe coming off the turbo.New drums and pads in the rear.I put on a new gas tank. I also cut out the old crossmember and put on a new heavy duty one as well as new straps.I put on new tranny lines and replaced all worn brake lines.Boxed in and welded the frame forward of the front tires (common weak spot on these trucks, didn't want to tow with a potentially weak frame)I put in 6 new glow plugs.Some of the fuel lines have been replaced as well.It comes with a good hitch that will handle any load you would want to haul with this truck.It also has xenon headlamps and yellow strobe on the cab. Exterior: This is a work truck and the exterior has a few dings and dents. There is a visible rust spot above the passenger wheel well (see pic) and in the corner by the driver side door (see pic). There is rust on the inner wheel wells that is not really visible. The bed has a bed liner but, underneath there is some rust. It doesn't effect the trucks ability to haul whatsoever. There is a dent in the front bumper and rear bumper driver side. Overall the truck doesn't look that bad going down the road. Interior: Interior is very standard and everything works. I have a seat cover on in the picture that goes with the truck but there is a rip in the seat, driver side. Other: I put in 6 new glow plugs and not 8 because the other 2 won't come out with a wrench, they need drilled and tapped and I didn't think it was necessary. I have had no problems starting this truck in the cold and it does have the block heater for when it goes below freezing. The cooling system works great as well, temp never goes above the 1/4 mark. Truck tows great and will make an excellent affordable and reliable work truck for someone. This is easily a five thousand dollar truck and if it weren't for the rust areas I would be asking at least that much if not more. Deals like this don't come around often. Feel free to ask questions.
