1982 Honda V45 Sabre

Here is a nice example of a 1982 VF750S Sabre. Honda made this bike as a stablemate to the Magna. While the Magna's had a cruiser seating position, the Sabre had a more advanced rear suspension and a more upright seating position for sportier riding. They're getting difficult to find in good condition. I bought this bike with the intention of restoring it, because of its low mile condition and the fact that the exhaust and body parts are in excellent condition! The wheels and tires are also in good condition. I just paid the local Honda specialist to clean and adjust the carburetors last week, so the bike runs great!. However, during the service, we discovered there is a wire missing that's supposed to connect the neutral switch in the gearbox to the green light on the dash panel, and also there seems to be another wire in the same harness that goes from the tachometer to the engine which is missing too. We looked everywhere under the fuel tank for it, but I'm just realizing I must have bought the bike with this part missing. I've seen wire hatness for the bike selling here on ebay for about $35. It seems to be harness part '14' on the wire harness/ignition coil parts microfiche. Both tires and both sets of brakes work fine. I rode the bike a bit since it was serviced and it runs really strong! The bike will come with the rare FOIL security cable and alarm system! The side covers are good, no broken mounting tabs, but show a few signs of wear with scratches, etc. The seat has had the seams glued and taped by a previous owner, but is acceptable. The exhaust pipes are in great condition - they are still very shiny and have no dents at all!! I have spent nearly $400 just last month cleaning and adjusting the carbs and taking care of the fluids so the bike can be in ready to ride condition!
