Keep in mind a deposit is required within 48 hours. 1956 Chevrolet 3100 Pickup 1/2 ton 56 Chevy Truck Short Step Side Bed This is an original 265 V8 truck as indicated by the "V" in the serial number. It is equipped with the original truck-style 4-spd on the floor instead of the typical 3 speed on the column. It now has a good running early 70's 350 SBC. Mileage is uncertain. It can be driven but could use some work to make it safe and dependable. Still has 6 bolt axles with original rims. The tires are very good. There are some rust spots in the usual places for these trucks but it is not rotten to the core. Cab is in decent condition with a rust hole patched in the drivers side floor board & minor rust in the cab corners. Doors are decent, latches & regulators work well. Front fenders have no rust over the headlights but they have signs of rust in the lower rear section. The driver’s front fender has bondo in the middle rear section. Front inner fenders are cracked out with some rust where the radiator support meets the fender. Hood is decent. Bed and tail gate are very straight. It looks like the bed might have been off the truck for most of its life; it is that nice. Wood bed floor strips are rotted out & tack strips are rough. The truck could use a restoration or you could do some minor repair work and enjoy it as-is. It looks like the truck was painted roughly 20-30 years ago.
