Both seat cushion heating elements require re-soldering to function. The UGLY: While the metallic paint retains its shine, pits, dents, nicks, and scratches, are everywhere, as should be expected in 150,000 road miles. There is rust on the windshield pillars and the dogleg between the right rear wheel and door. The leather seats are in fairly good condition, with normal wear patterns, except the right front cushion has a one-inch puncture. History: As a SAAB factory rep in 1995, I convinced my stepmother to buy my company car. She drove it 100,000 miles. A few years later, I needed a safe vehicle for my driving-age daughter. Her 9000 remained with us until Jan 2010. I bought this car on Ebay in March 2009 and had it transported here. I removed the carpeting, steam cleaned it, and replaced the underpadding before reinstalling the carpet. I drove it until I diagnosed a rod bearing knock. I had the crankshaft machined, and rebuilt the engine. The vacuum gauge shows 17-18 inches of mercury at idle speed, (see pic). Seller is a SAAB nut who participates in local SAAB club activities and is a regular technical contributor to several on-line SAAB sites. Upgrades: I took off the DUNLOP CITATION 195/65R15 89S tires on 1997 OEM wheels because two were severely worn. In their place, I fitted YOKAHAM AS430 P195/65R15 89H tires on 1995 SAAB directional wheels Buyer may keep both sets. The stock CS 170HP Low Pressure Turbo has been enhanced to CSE 200 HP specifications through the addition of a SAAB APC valve and related plumbing. Simply rerouting one hose and detaching one connector can restore the original CS specs. The stock analog digital clock has been replaced with the SAAB Car Computer (SCC) whose multiple functions are detailed in the Owner’s Manual.
