This is a 2007 B7 Audi RS4 in Avus Silver with an ivory leather interior (outlined with black piping) and the Premium Package. You will not see this level of disclosure and transparency in any other vehicle online ... or in person for that matter. The detail in the write-up below is indicative of what I would want to know when purchasing a vehicle, so have provided the same courtesy to the next owner. This RS has 64,XXX miles and was originally an Audi corporate fleet vehicle used by a senior executive living in a $3m house - the home address on the navigation before I acquired it. Since being in-service, it was pampered every few K miles…probably each time it was at a dealership - multiple oil changes, spark plugs, etc. I originally purchased the car certified pre-owned, from an Audi dealership in New Jersey. **Please note, Audi CPO warranties on vehicles purchased after 2008 are no longer transferable and no longer stay with the car. So all originally CPO Audis bought through private sale are no longer CPO. I was meant to keep it forever, so I spent months looking for the right car in the right condition. I am selling because my new job entails an abundance of travel – I now barely use the car at all which is a crying waste. It is accident free with 90% highway miles. All maintenance since was done at Winner Audi in Wilmington, DE and it was garaged both at work and at home. Understand though that I am unable to go any further due to added mileage to the vehicle. The buy it now price you see is the final, no-haggle price for this RS4. It is ultra-competitive and accounts for private sale, mileage and the cosmetic wear to the vehicle. The market? Not that many around...definitely not as available as the BMWs. As of October 2011, there were over 97 M3's on ebay and about 580 on cars.com. Conversely, here's the stats on RS4s: cars.com: 25 priced from $38K to 48KeBay: 5 listings that range from $42.5K to $52.9KAudi Dealers: 4 CPOs priced between $52K to $59K. In Canada, there are NO CPO RS4s through Audi Canada and only 7 through autotrader.ca priced between $45K to $55K. Both the buyer and seller’s ebay accounts just need to have a feedback rating of zero or above on the listing’s end date and the accounts should be in good standing and not suspended. In the event that you are unable to see the car prior to purchasing, you may use eBay’s recommended inspection company SGS to have an ‘InspectMyRide’ done. This service looks the car over on your behalf. They have a network across the country, the cost is $129 and the 150-point inspection reports are available within 24 hours of the completed inspection. If you arrange this a reasonable time before the auction's end at a location near me, I will gladly have it done. Check eBay for details. There should be a 'Order an independent inspection' link on the right column of the listing. Incidentally as well, if you are unable to pickup the car, eBay Motors also provides buyers a service to arrange shipping in the ‘Shipping Center’ of the auction page where you can get an instant online quote. They now even offer financing, which most probably don’t need, and that is available through their Finance Center. Buyers are responsible for all state, county, and city taxes/fees. It involved the entire DRC system which meant replacement of the shock absorbers, dampeners, central valves, et al. That’s a day or two in the shop, sometimes more. Details: Window Tint and Front full paint protection 3M polyurethane film installed across the front of the hood, entire front bumper cover, side mirrors, headlights and driving lights. The film has some age appropriate wear - but everything on the front end has been protected since day 1. The blemishes seen in the pictures are on the film, not the paint. Once worn enough to replace, probably another couple of years, a company like Shades of Gray in Pennsylvania are great. They installed the window tint for me and use VentureShield paint protection film which is 100% clear, laser cut and will not fade or yellow. Side Mirrors: The driver's side film has a couple of chatter marks on it but on close inspection, the mirror housing is intact. Waiting to replace the entire front end film together for a perfect match. Passenger Side Mirror is in perfect condition. 19 inch rims with Yokohama AVS all-season tires are on all four corners. Tires are all at about 60-70% tread remaining. Front rims are in great condition, rear rims have some wear appropriate with a pre-owned vehicle. Front Driver rim is excellent, Front Passenger rim is excellent, Rear Driver rim is fair, Rear Passenger rim is fair. Upgraded brake pads to Centric Posi-Quiets which have less dust, no screeching, great bite. Interior: Front Driver’s Seat: Good condition. Slightly more wear, where the outside edge of the seat and back have some crease marks, a good leather restorer can fix that, and a little surface chatter. Some pictures throws a shadow and exaggerates the creases. The back of the seat has a little indentation, see picture, from when it was lowered when something was still underneath it. No discoloration or tears, just a dimple which will even out over time. Front Passenger Seat: Perfect. Barely used at all. No marks or scuffs on it. Rear Seats: Good to great condition. Even less used. Passenger side seat has some surface chatter on the leather, likely from a jeans button. See pictures, it is not obvious unless you are close up, and it is a surface imperfection, not a tear. Paint is in fair condition: Front hood wear is mostly on the paint protection film, there are no major stone chips or dings on the paintwork Front driver quarter panel has a 6 inch line from a shopping cart on top of the paint protection film. Have not addressed this in order to keep the original paint and remove any ambiguity from ‘repainted’ panels. Not noticeable unless looking for it as it is near the fold line for the quarter panel Doors are all in perfect condition – always securely parked where possible. Rear bumper has 2 slight blemishes in the middle from other vehicles license plate screws from one of the few times it is parked in a full public parking lot. Horizontal scuff line towards the bottom of the bumper cover has been buffed out, can only see remnants of it at certain angles Questions I have been asked. Please feel free to email if you have others and forgive my non-technical terminology: Servicing history available?Winner Audi has serviced the vehicle since I took it over in 2009. History for the work done on the vehicle is available and will be provided. It is also noted in the body for the description above. Has the carbon clean been done?All Audi FSI engines have carbon build-up. This car has not had a carbon clean done as it has not needed it. Long story short, they are done if and when you lose a noticeable amount of top-end power or it is specifically requested by an owner. Most cars (like Q7s who are notorious for build-up) don’t require it as long as there is no power loss. My Audi tech confirms this and also noted that if that power loss ever became a recurring and more common issue, it would be dealt with through their voluntary re-call process. Any previous gasket leaks?None. Gasket leaks would inevitably leave rust and discoloring on the metal parts around the gaskets. See pictures, there are no signs of leaks or odd discoloration. Was there ever any food/drink spillage?Never had food in the car. Only capped drinks in the vehicle. Nothing has ever been spilled. You’ll see from the carpet and upholstery. Carfax shows ownership transfer around Oct 2010. Are you the 3rd owner?No. This is a clerical error. The Carfax entry for Oct 2010 should be just a registration renewal. After leaving Audi's Corporate Fleet, I took the car over and have been its 2nd owner since 2009. Also, eBay's Autocheck shows 'Registration Event / Renewal' in Oct 2010 - the correct event type. Of course, I have documentation to support this. Ownership, Title & Registration status?I am financed by Audi/VW Finance, and there is still a partial balance on it. Registration can be transferred from seller to buyer once the deal is done - so picking up the car can be done as quickly as we can get the payment sorted. All the Delaware DMV needs is for us to go there with your drivers license, proof of insurance on the RS, a bill of sale that we've both signed, and the signed registration document indicating I've sold to you. In the event that you are not picking up the car in person, you may fax the DMV your documents on the day that I go there with the rest of the paperwork. Concurrently, I payoff Audi/VW Finance, and they expedite the title transferred quickly and overnight it to you. We have up to 30 days to have the title released and re-titled. The car is titled in Delaware, thus only a rear-license plate is needed. An original front filler plate is on the car, so there is no ugly front plate bracket. We've never met, how can we be more comfortable with the transaction?Once you do use eBay to confirm that you are buying the vehicle, your coverage under their Vehicle Protection Program starts. Once you provide the nominal deposit through paypal, you have 7 days to provide the remaining amount. In that time, we will have a slew of phone calls, exchange all personal and professional details, provide each other with copies of drivers licenses and insurance paperwork, and discuss and deal with any concerns that come up. It is in both our best interests to know each other to have 100% confidence in the sale and to ensure everything goes without a glitch.
