Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is my 69 Pro Touring Camaro. This was a complete full rotisserie restoration that was completed a few months ago. A lot of money was spent in creating this custom machine. I personally did all of the work with the exception of building the motor, which was done by a race engine builder. The build took over a year to complete and i put a lot of attention into detail and fitment. The body lines and subtle changes to the car look amazing. The Body: This car started out as a solid base 69. It was completely disassembled and media blasted. I replaced both quarters with full panels and smoothed the factory seems. The floors were very solid only needing two small patches and the trunk floor is original and perfect. The fenders are original and were gapped to the doors for a better than factory fit. I had to replace one door because the original had been skinned and i didnt care for the work that was done. Again, I spent a lot of time fitting all the panels and massaging the body. The floors were smoothed, primed, and painted PPG black just as the top side is. The body of the car was block sanded twice before the PPG base/clear was sprayed. I also spent just as much time block sanding the clear coat to get a show car smooth finish. Hundreds of hours were spent getting the body to where its at now. Suspension: The suspension was replaced with a Heidts 4 link and a Ford 9" axle with billet coilovers. The front uses the stock subframe which was smoothed. I bolted on a set of Heidts control arms as well as their dropped spindles and billet coilovers. All of the suspension pieces were painted base/clear. The brakes were updated to Wilwoods 4 piston calipers and drilled and slotted rotors all around. I also used a large bore Wilwood master cylinder. The steering was upgraded to a Steeroids Rack And Pinion conversion which is very responsive. Engine: This is the really sweet part about the car. The engine was built by Eckley Racing engines. It is a Chevy Bowtie racing block that was bored and stroked to 555 cubic inches. The Dart heads and intake were all ported and matched. The port work is incredible. Forged pistons, Cola Crank, and Oliver rods make up the rotating assembly. A solid roller Comp cam gives this thing an incredible sound. Also up front is a Jesel Belt drive along with Billlet Specialties pulleys. There are a lot of high dollar componets in this engine. The Dominator Carb cam from Pro Systems and flows 1150 cfm. The carb alone cost $1400. The engine was dynoed by Eckley Racing and put out 700hp on pump gas!!!! Again, Its a pump gas motor. 10.5:1 compression. This BBC can spin to 7500 rpm in split second. It is a blast to drive you can be heard in this thing. Exhaust: The headers are from Hooker and have a 2inch primary tube. The exhaust is a 3" stainless x-pipe from Pypes and the mufflers are Borla XR-1. Drivetrain: The transmission is a Tremec TKO 600 bolted to a Lakewood bellhousing. The clutch is from RAM performance rated to hold 800 hp and its bolted to a billet steel flywheel also from RAM. Out back is the Ford 9" from heidts with 4:10 Richmond gears. In 5th gear the engine turns about 2400 rpm at 65 mph. All the componets were either bought or built to handle the horsepower. Wheels: The wheels are the Boost Pro Touring Series from Billet Specialties. The fronts are 19" with 235/35-19 and the rears are 20" with 275/35-20 Kumho tires. They are a custom backspace. The wheels and tires alone cost over $4k. Cooling: I used an Afco Polished aluminum direct fit radiator with a 3000cfm electric fan. The water pump is from edelbrock. Interior: The seats came from Procar and are awesome. The guages are carbon fiber Autometers and the guage panel came from Covans. The door panels, carpet, and the rest of the interior came from Classic industries. The CD player is from Kenwood and the speakers are from Polk audio. The kick panels were customized to accept a pair of speakers. I am sure i am leaving somthing out. Since i built the car i know everything about it. So if you have any questions call or email me. I have a lot of time and money in this car!!!!! I dont really want to sell it but i went a little overboard on the build. My loss is your gain. I am up for reasonalble offers but i mean reasonable. This is not a cheap car. If i were to add up the labor and parts it would cost around $80-$100k to have built maybe more. I am not trying to get anywhere near this number. Call and we can talk!!
