Vehicle Detail

Place your mouse on the right side of the page on top of the photo to see more pics... Read what happened on my day trip to Monterey at the Concorso Italiano below -- I drove the car there. See pictures below. I've added a few more descriptions per the questions I've been getting... and I've added more photos of the car, and still more to come. I have for sale a Beautiful Italian Roadster, 1987 Alfa Romeo Spider Quadrifoglio, Series 3 (Aerodynamica). This was the top of the line Spider for the year. Great example of an Italian Roadster. Great Italian details inside and out. This car has soul like no other. They don't make them like this anymore. Designed by Pininfarina, who also designs Ferraris. It is ready for some Summer Time Fun. Ready to be driven anywhere! RUNS GREAT & FUN TO DRIVE The last few people that have test driven this car have found the car's engine to be "very strong" and "sound". But their offers are less than my asking price, way less. I just want to remind people that this is not a Graduate or a Veloce. Furthermore, this car is in great condition mechanically and aesthetically. Keep in mind that this car isn't in Mint/Showroom Condition. If it were, it would cost about $15,000. Alfa will be coming back to the states around 2012 or beginning 2013. These prices will only go up or their value will hardly depreciate. THIS IS PRICED TO SELL. NO RESERVE PRICE. Interior 8.5 / 10 Exterior 7.5 / 10 * 99.95% RUST FREE * PASSED SMOG * CLEAN TITLE * NO OIL LEAK * SMOKE FREE * PET FREE The car has all original paint, and still very glossy with some scratches on the trunk hood, but they're barely noticeable beyond five feet and one scratch on the front of the car that is about an inch and half long and a couple of very minor and not deep, very fixable dent. Not even noticeable in the photos, see photo number three, right front side of the hood. Some dings all along the door and back panels, but what car doesn't have those, again barely noticeable unless you are really looking. That's why I rate the exterior and 8 out of 10. The interior is truly original and in great condition including the headliner, mats (with Alfa logo) and carpet. And featuring specially designed leather seats with red stitching, with a minor tear on the back side of the passenger seat that is about an inch long. The dash looks brand new! Everything on the dash works, including the blower, digital clock, lighted vanity mirrors, CD/radio, automatic antenna, electric mirrors, dash lights and all gauges work perfectly! The A/C needs a recharge. It is an R12. The heater needs work, but once in a while it does kick in. I just bought a new Pioneer stereo system that sounds awesome, with iPod or MP3 input! Brand new Pirelli tires -- see more new stuff that I bought for the car on the list below. New valve cover gasket and seals. The transmission works great. Whether you up-shift or down-shift it is smooth. I shift it with ease and I don't rush it into gear. I don't smoke. The only thing this ashtray is collecting is dust. And where you release the trunk and the door for the gas needs to be refastened and tightened. You can probably do it yourself. Mostly all the Alfas I've seen seems to have this problem. The .05% rust is mostly all surface rust. It has the original Hard top. This Rear Wheel Drive, 2.0 Liter Fuel Injected engine runs great and gets 24mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway. If you want, you can hire a mechanic locally to inspect the car and I'll be more than happy to bring the car there. I want you to have peace of mind when you buy the car. The only reason why I am selling this is I need the money more than I need the car. I haven't had a job since May 2010. If I had a job, I wouldn't be selling this beautiful car. My loss, your gain. I have sold a car and motorcycle here before and both of those buyers gave me positive feedbacks. I do reserve the right to stop this auction at any given time as long as there is no bid because I also have it selling locally. Please check out the car fax and ask me questions before bidding. Read odometer explanation below. If you are local, please feel free to come and see the car, and let's go for a ride! Ask me a question and also leave your name and number in the process. I have 100% FEEDBACK. Brakes: Front 70-80% left. Rear 70% left Odometer Explanation: I bought this car from an old french couple from Northern California, in the Marin area. They bought this car from a woman and at the time it had about 60K miles on it. Almost as soon as they bought it, the speedometer broke. Then after that the odometer. So they decided to buy a older one that worked, and that odometer had about 125K. They drove it until it hit 143K (143-125=18.... 60+18=78). They then drove it only on weekends for about a month, but soon decided that they really didn't need it and decided not to fix it. According to them it has a few thousand miles under 80K. I talked to their mechanic and he told me that it has a very strong engine. Which it does. He also said that it will go another 80-100K miles. I got the speedometer and odometer fixed at the same time. I also got the sensor that is around the engine compartment that reads the speedometer/odometer. I got it fixed at Palo Alto Speedometer Inc. They are well known throughout the United States. When I asked a parts supplier of Alfas from a guy in New York, he recommended them to me. They do repairs and restorations. They told me that these mid 80's Alfas sometimes have problems with their speedometer/odometer breaking because of mechanism isn't that good, and that they do get them in ever so often. Here is the website, www.paspeedo.com or call them if you want to ask about these Alfa Spiders. Their number is 650-323-0243. So if you add up all the miles it comes to about 78K, plus my 2700 miles -- and that's where it is right now. Spare Tire Compartment Bottom Part of Spare Tire Compartment August 19, 2011 I was at the Concorso Italiano in Monterey, Ca... I saw about 50 Alfa Romeo Spiders there. Out of all those Spiders, there were only two Quadrifoglio. And of the two, only one had a hardtop. That guy with the hardtop said to me that if he were to sell his car, it would be for around $15K... check out my pics from that day of the Spiders...
