Vehicle Detail

Just some quick history on the 1962 Buick Invicta. The Invicta line was introduced and produced from 1959 through 1963 and was a mating of the LeSabre models with the 401 Nailhead V8 that developed 325 horsepower drawing the nickname of 'banker's hotrod.' The Invicta name was derived from a Latin word that signifies unconquerable, invincible and unbeatable. They were full sized vehicles offered in multiple body styles including a 2-door hardtop and convertible, and 4-door hardtop and station wagon. The Invicta series in 1962 had all of the features of the LaSabre plus Deluxe wheel covers and an engine 'Power-Pak' (four-barrel induction system). 1963 was the final year for the Invicta brand name as it was replaced by the Wildcat. Vin Number: 6 I4011776 6 Invicta I 1962 4 Kansas City, KS Assembly Plant 011776 Sequence Number I believe the exterior two-tone paint codes are: HH - Glacier Blue lower paint. HC - Arctic White roof paint. 1962 Buick Invicta Series Model 4639 4-Door Hardtop Weight: 4,159 Price: $3,667 Production Numbers: 16,443 And now for this outstanding example of a classic 60’s full size, 4-door muscle car with all of the amenities of the top of the line luxury car. Other than one repaint back to the beautiful glacier blue exterior paint, this 62,000 original mile Buick is virtually a time capsule. All exterior bright work is in at least average to excellent original condition. It retains its born with drive train (The carburetor was replaced but the original comes with the car.) with all original interior and all original body panels which simply put, adds up to a rare example of 60’s nostalgia. When looking at the interior, it is simply stunning in its condition and appearance. The light blue seats with vibrant blue plaid inserts along with all interior trim pieces appear to have been just replaced. Not so. What you see and feel, along with everything else in the interior to include the carpet, is upholstery that was in the car when it was driven off the lot back in the fall of 1961. Everything that should work does work with the exception of the clock. Cold A/C, all gauges, the radio with dual speaker controls, all lights and blinkers, power steering, power brakes, power seats, cruise control via buzzer, etc. Registered with the Buick Club of America, the Invicta comes with the original warranty card, the original 1961 license plate (Purchased new in the fall of 1961.) the original owners manual, the name of the original owner and a set of repair manuals. The trunk area lives up to the rest of the cars appearance with a “hardly used” look and in excellent condition. Resting in the original paint and spacious storage area are the original jack assembly, jack instruction decal and trunk mat. The engine bay is completely original with all decals and markings still intact. Some TLC could easily bring back the appearance to show condition if the new owner so desired. The undercarriage is as clean as a whistle. I have to wonder was it ever driven in inclement weather. I doubt it. Possibly it was only a “Sunday-go-to-meeting” car. Who knows but it really is wicked clean. The car stops, runs, brakes, cruises, handles (Has radial tires.) just as it should with no leaks or drips and absolutely no excuses. I don’t know what else to say accept, "Happy 50th Birthday" to this beauty and please check out for yourself, the (120) photos that I have included in this ad.
