Vehicle Detail

1976 Lincoln Town Coupe This is a very fun car to drive, needless to say it is a real head turner. I did not have the customizing done myself but my friend who restores cars said it would have cost about $10,000 to create (aprox $2000 for the 20" chrome Falken wheels & tires, $2000 for the interior work, and at least $4000 - $5000 on the bodywork and paint) As you can see the door handles were shaved and filled. The car has a button to press in front fenders to unlatch the door once it has been unlocked with the keychain remote. The two tone paint looks very striking and was well done. The top is metallic blue sides are white. There is a hairline crack in the bondo around the driver side door latch area otherwise the paint work is in very good condition with only an occasional chip or blemish. The interior is in very good condition as you can see from the pictures. The dash and headliner are perfect. The glass is all good. Tires have lots of tread and are wearing evenly. Vinyl top is in good shape. It is an Arizona car and shows no signs of rust whatsoever. Mechanically the car seems to be all original, the 460 V8 engine is running very well and the automatic transmission shifts well. Steering and brakes are good. The power windows work but are typically slow for an old car like this. Power seats are working and adjust forwards and back fine. The A/C blows but does not blow cold air. The original radio is still in the dash and power antenna operates well. A modern Sony CD stereo with remote control has been installed in the glove compartment and it works good and sounds great. The seats are very comfortable and the car has a very smooth ride. The only issue to be resolved is with the carbeurator. It either needs to be adjusted rebuilt or replaced as the car does not start easily when the engine is cold. Once it fires up and idles for a minute it will start up fine without a problem all day long. One other upgrade the previous owner did was to put a dual exhaust with chrome tips under the car. The exhaust and mufflers look to be fairly new. So there it is, a nice old cruiser that has had all the expensive work already done. I am selling the car at no reserve so please ask all important questions before you bid. THANKS
