Here is a very nice original condition Vintage 1973 BMW R75/5, 750cc- LWB matching numbers motorcycle. I purchased the BMW on June 8, 1973 from the BMW dealership in Cologne Germany, toured for 3 weeks and had it shipped home. This bike has always been garaged. The drive train has never been removed nor has the bike been repainted. I have all original papers, repair receipts, owner's manual and workshop manual. The original tool kit as well as the tire pump are also included. This is the best of the old /5 motorcycles that is only going to go up in value and as far as a good classic to ride you can't get a better bike to ride in town or touring. This BMW runs as nice as it looks with a very strong powerplant and smooth 4sp transmission. 2600 miles ago I put on brand new Metzler Lazertec front and rear and the bike is serviced and ready to ride. All systems work fine. I added the Fiam horns but also have the original horn. The shocks were replaced with Koni adjustable shocks in early 80s. There is some rust under the seat but the metal is solid with no holes This bike is a running machine not a project bike. What else has been done to this bike? All cables have been replaced. Carbs have been rebuilt, new filters, petcocks, fuel lines, new plugs, points, advance springs and battery. Bike has plenty of power, runs well, and doesn’t smoke. Shifts well with the characteristic BMW click (4 speed) It really is a smooth running machine, Kick starter works fine, brakes work fine. This motorcycle is an exceptional attention getter from my first ride in Germany to last Sunday's ride.
