The last of the “Victoria” style roof exemplified fine luxury in a time when American Heroes drove cars proudly in a country they bravely fought for. Plymouth made tanks for the government during the war and completely updated their factories before production was underway. Close inspection of this car shows a great black repaint which gives a deep wet look. The chrome is in good unrestored original shape throughout the car and the glass is in good condition. The split window windshield is free from any cracks or chips and convertible top looks great. The white wall tires are in great condition free of any dry rot or wear and truly complete the classic look of this beautiful convertible. The interior of this classic vehicle is in good condition with no signs of wear or rips in the seats. The carpet is looks great! The door panels and dash are in good condition free of cracks or tears. The original gauges look good and work properly but have slight discoloration in the glass. Underneath the hood, the 217 CID engine runs great with no knocking or strange sounds coming from the block. Recently tuned up and starts without hesitation. The 3 speed manual transmission shifts great with no slippage. The suspension drives great and very smooth brings this car to life driving through some of the windy roads near our shop. Turn key ready all original 1947 Plymouth. The 1947 Plymouth was a highly desirable convertible in post WWII America. This would make a great weekend driver or investment for a collector. Please read our complete terms and conditions. Bidding As a bidder, if you do not intend to purchase the car, do not have financing in place, or you are simply playing around, DO NOT BID. Non-paying bidders greatly affect our profit margin, making it harder to effectively run our business and provide quality service. Please avoid bidding as a courtesy to the rest of the people that do want to purchase the car. If you are a meticulous buyer or inexperienced with classic automobiles, we recommend not buying a classic sight unseen, spend the extra money to travel and see the vehicle, or invest $100 to have a 3rd party inspection done on the vehicle BEFORE you bid on the car. Call us ahead of time we will honestly tell you what we estimate the car will sell for on the auction and answer any questions you may have. With all do respect to all bidders if you consider yourself a difficult buyer refrain from bidding on our vehicles and as we much rather sell a vehicle for less and have an enjoyable mutual transaction. Car quality It is one of the hardest jobs to convey the subjective condition of a classic vehicle through a computer. We see and inspect hundreds of potential collector cars each week and we try to convey our professional experience through our various categories in our descriptions. We sell quality classics in different stages and conditions. If we list a car as a classic, the following is what you should expect: Concourse Quality = This is the highest rating we can give a classic car. The vehicle usually has gone through a meticulous, no expense spare restoration. Museum Quality = This is a top rating given to vehicles that have gone through professional restorations have and have been very well kept or are in top original survivor condition. Investment Quality = Mid top range for a classic vehicle that is worthy of collecting. Is solid and well kept through-out and has value in its originality and condition, which is expected to appreciate with time. Drivers Quality = These are collector vehicles that are in good enough shape to be a proud owner and driver. These vehicles most likely wont win shows, but will impress most drivers in the street. Driver quality vehicles do need maintenance and attention in certain areas since many are 40 and 50 year old and attention to keep them driving safely in the streets is constantly needed. Project Quality = We very rarely offer projects and as the word implies these are vehicles that need extended amounts of work and restoration. These areas of conditions are gray, meaning some vehicles are in between areas, a vehicle may be an investment driver or museum investment, etc. We post numerous pictures and give a brief description of the vehicle. Please examine those closely before deciding to bid. We do our absolute best to describe our cars and to convey its condition to you our potential customers, but please understand classic vehicles are OLD vehicles and that they are SOLD AS IS. It is true that our vehicles do sell for a good bargain and fantastic prices, but you are almost always going to pay for what you get. If a car sells for $5,000, you are buying a car within that range of price; in respect to value, collectability, and condition. In the unforeseen situation that there is a major description discrepancy (this is where the 3rd party inspection or a personal inspection is an essential tool), as a last resort a full refund, minus the cost of shipping, can be used to mutually resolve an honest possible misunderstanding. These situations are extremely rare, they are most certainly not intended and can easily be avoided. Payment Types: Certified Wired Funds, Cash, and Institutional Financing. Credit Cards accepted for deposit payment. Fees: Out of State BuyersOut of state buyers are not charged tax, title, or license. The customer is responsible for the online documentary fee and for registering the vehicle in their home state.
