Vehicle Detail
This car is part of an estate that we are liquidating. I will do my best to list and describe what I know, but unfortunately I have not been able to contact the builder of the drivetrain to get a detailed list of just what exactly went into this car. The car is available for inspection in Telford, PA. BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. If the reserve is not met, there is still a chance that the vehicle will be offered to the high bidder. The estate will decide within 24 hours of the end of the auction. This vehicle (obviously) has an”R” title. A friend of owner told me the best time the car ever did was 7.7 @ 183mph. I have a receipt from ATCO Speedway for 7.945 @ 174.75. We have verified that the motor will spin but we WILL NOT start it under any circumstances. The next person to run it will be the new owner. If you have any specific questions we would be happy to try and answer them. The car comes with a 2000 model 24 ft. white Pace American race trailer. It needs a good clean up but is in perfect condition. The vehicle also comes with 2 extra sets of rear slicks with wheels. The owner’s sister says that he had about $100K in the car. We have tons of receipts and will give them to the new owner. New owner is responsible for transport of car and trailer. We are a full service tag facility. THIS VEHICLE IS SOLD AS-IS. 1967 Chevy Camaro drag car. The vehicle started its life out as a V-8 Camaro. I have taken tons of pictures and can email the complete file to serious bidders. Body- The body parts (except the hood which is fiberglass) are all original steel panels. The floor has obviously been cut and tubbed. The work is very, very clean. There are a few chips and minor surface scratches in the paint but overall it is very nice. There is a crack in the paint on the driver’s door, bottom left and on the left fender directly behind the rear tire. All the glass is original and functions. Doors open normally. Frame/Cage- the frame and cage are replacement tube parts. It has a coil over suspension with rack & pinion steering, 4 wheel disc brakes. I will let the pictures do most of the talking here. The cage was last certified in 5/2005. Drive train- This is where things are a bit more clouded. I spoke the guy who built the carburetor and he told me the following info from his notes; The carb is 1450 cfm, the motor is 608 C.I., he dyno tested it after the builder put it all together and it hit 1090 H.P. -without the nitrous-. He estimates at full bore it is putting out about 1500 H.P. According to a friend of the owner, the heads are new and have never been run. The car has less than 10 runs on it since build. The transmission is stamped “Hydromatic” GMC and appears to be a 3 speed. The rear has no markings on it. We think it is a Ford but could be wrong. It runs on 114 octane racing fuel. Electrical- The cars lights/turn signals are all operational! It even has a stereo in it. The owner’s sister told me he used to regularly take it out for fides on the road! It also has some sort of bracket computer system in it that allows you to race against anybody regardless how fast or slow their car is.
