This is a very desirable Classic Mercury 2 dr Ht. The major work has been completed. The paint has been done in a very pretty white with a Green top. I was told the engine and transmission were both overhauled and the person doing the restoration passed away. The car sat in his garage for a few years. Both front and rear bumpers have new chrome and look great. (I just had the same bumpers chromed, $2000). I bought the car last year with the intention of finishing it. However I havn't done it, so it can be an easy project for someone to finish. It looks like all the moldings for the exterior and interior are there, as well as the seats, panels, handles, etc, they will require reupholstering, and the interior chrome should be redone. The engine runs nice and the transmission shifts like it should. The brakes work but are soft. All the glass is good except the RR window. 1953 is the last year of the famous Flathead V8 Engine. This should make a very nice driving car and be very valuable without a lot of expense. I would like a $500 deposit within 5 days and the balance within 15 days. Cash or wire transfer only.
