Vehicle Detail
69 post roadrunner. look up the production numbers on these. fraction of these produced compared with the hardtops. has original fender tag. original 383 4 speed car green/green. listing this for my son. this was a 6 yr. restoration done in my restoration shop. I have 35 yrs of muscle car restoration experience. he has at least 12 yrs. this car media blasted inside, outside, underneath. everyplace the media blaster could get to. new floors, trunk, outer wheelhouses, quarter skins, 4 speed hump. new grill and headlight bezels. new rear bumper. front was nice original. over 5K invested in the motor. 440 steel crank in a 400 block. this is the same combo hughes engines claims to get 550 HP out of. this motor has more than what they do to theirs. balanced, blueprinted. keith black dome-tops milled down some to get around 10.5:1 eagle rods, the entire valve train is comp cams. erson high ratio adjustable rockers. 906 heads with hardened seats port matched to team G intake. mallory distributor. powder coated seventies cal custom valve covers. new headers and exhaust from summit. new be cool direct fit aluminum radiator. the 4 speed was built by a long time friend with steel forks so you can slam the gears as hard as you like. new hurst comp plus shifter and rods. has the original bellhousing that accepts an 11 inch clutch. these bellhousings are impossible to find and not reproduced last I checked a couple months ago. 8 3/4 differential is a new sure grip unit from randys ring and pinion with new 3.55 gear set all put into a 489 case which has the larger pinion bearing. all chasis parts, shocks, spring bushings, brakes, brake hoses, ect. new. 11 inch magnum disc brakes on the front. all wheel bearings and seals new. new fuel tank and 3/8 sending unit. fuel and all brake lines new. windshield and gasket new. heater core and blower new. heater box and gaskets reconditioned. basically everything on this car new or rebuilt. paint is high quality base clear. the engine compartment, trunk, jambs, were done in single stage. bolt on six pac hood was purchased from tamraz. we have installed several of these hoods and they are top quality. the only thing this car is needing is all the interior done. my cost to do everything from legendary interiors for one of these will run 1500-2000 dollars. my son may have the time to install interior at a very cost effective rate if car sells and the materials get to him before he moves to san diego this winter. feel free to email any questions. I was the original owner of this vehicle and it was built in my shop with my help. many more pics of the restoration process at: http://s631.photobucket.com/albums/uu40/jimmiedean58/1969%20Plymouth%20Roadrunner%20Post%20Car/
