Vehicle Detail

This Camaro is NOT a Z28, it just has the badges and a cowl hood. It started out as a 6 cyl car and now has a 408 cu inch stroker Chevy small block. The build was professionally done by a race shop with forged crank, forged H-beam rods, Mahle forged pistons, double roller timing set, hydraulic roller lifters, Dart Pro aluminum heads, ARP bolts throughout, etc. The engine was blueprinted and then dyno tested showing 480HP and 500 Ft Lbs torque. I backed up the engine with a new Hughes TH400 transmission, Powertrax differential locker, and Cal-Tracs ladder bar system. Cooling was upgraded with a new 4 core radiator, electric fan, and controller. A new set of Hedman coated headers dumps into a 3" dual exhaust. There are many other new parts too numerous to mention. There was $6000 invested in the engine alone, so you know that no expense was spared. The body is about what you would expect from a car of this vintage. The paint is an older restoration. There are some chips in the paint and the window seals leak when you drive through a car wash. At one point someone installed Gen II door mirrors and the holes are still there. Look over the pictures I've included. The interior has a mix of old and new parts and could still use a few fixes. That aside, the car draws attention whenever I drive it. The paint still looks awesome, the car is loud, and it is fast! The sound system is an Eclipse head unit. Two vintage Rockford Fosgate Punch amps feed 2000 watts into Eclipse, Diamond, and dual Kicker Comp speakers. The whole interior and trunk is layered in Dynamat. It's the best system I've heard in a car. The car has a Cifford alarm system, with power door locks and a remote with a fancy display. It was in the car when I bought it. The car can be driven daily, but it uses plenty of gas and has no air conditioning. Not too practical in Arizona. I see it primarily as a cruiser or racer. It is a blast to cruise around on the weekends:) Things that need fixing: the windows rattle when they are half down, the heater core needs replacing (have a new one in a box), the pin switch for the alarm trunk sensor is broken, needs new front coil springs (have new ones in box), needs new windshield seals, and there is a clunk in the rear axle when cold (PowerTrax needs alignment). All of these are pet peeves for me and do not prevent driving. The coil springs are a must do as the current coils are causing premature front tire wear. There are also some other items like the self canceling turn signals don't cancel when turning left, etc., but these are not a bother for me. One thing that has been acting up recently is the starter. One time I had to tap on it to get it to work. If you are not the tinkering type who can fix these types of things then you probably shouldn't be looking at a 40 year old car... If you have any other questions about the car, just message me through Ebay. Please look at all of the pictures as I have tried to show all the bad points on the car as well as the good ones. Also take a look at the videos to get a feel of what the car drives like. I will assist in arrangements for shipping but all shipping costs will be incurred by you. If you want someone to come inspect the car, that is fine so long as you're paying. Again, ask questions and I'll answer them honestly. I don't want an unhappy buyer. You get a 480HP engine, 2000 watts of sound, and an awesome look for just $19K. I've got over 25K invested, so it's a steal. I've also got this car for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction if someone buys it before the auction ends. If you decide to buy, payment is expected within 7 days. The title of the car goes nowhere until I get full payment. I'd prefer cash, but will accept certified funds that clear the bank. Thanks.
