porsche made the limited edition (club sport) model from 1987-1989, in these (3) years only 340 were made. in 1987 none were shipped to the usa. in 1988 22 cars were sold to the us, with only 6 more arriving in 1989.thats a total of 28 cars for the us market. porsche not only made these cars lighter, but modifications to the 3.2 motor as well, hollowed out intake valves, higher red line, factory balanced,(blue printed) just to name a few, it was also belived these motors were built under the watchfull eye of the porsche racing department.these motors have a special stamp (SP)(see my pic.) let me tell you about my club sport, first off( the car is registered, titled,inspected and insured in my name), it was a special order by the director of national sales at porsche, the car was california entry, went to reno nv.ordered in k-5 blue,er=marina blue leatherette w/blue porsche cloth.16 in,light weels,sport steering wheel, radio,air conditioning, limited slip differential. my car is all original #s matching motor , trans (5 speed). ect, ect, ect. original paint as well (bring your paint meter).there is a carefull 42 k (documented miles ).this car was never raced , tracked or abused. the car is a 9 on a 1-10.everything works as it should.(no stories) even the a/c blows cold.ownership history, (photos from previous owners),record books,tools, air compressor,window sticker,ect, ect., and yes my car is in the registry as well, it is 1 of 4 k-5 blue cars, 1-of -1with (er) marina blue interior, and only 1 of 2 with factory a/c..the only upgrades to my car are as follow,k+n air intake( i have the original) turbo tirerod ends , front brace.the option codes are: 220-locking dif. 243-short gear shift. 395-light metal wheels. 419-no rear seat. 451-sport group prep. 473-with spoilers. 474-bilstien shocks. 637-club sport model. please inspections are not only welcome but encouraged,but dont wait for the last hour of the last day to do so.will do my best to awnser all e-mails but calling me might be best (917) 748-2938.or leave your # and i will call you.please only bid if you can pay, i set a very reasonable reserve,( well under the money) someone is going to get a great car at a great price.
