1986 SUPER VOLVO 240 This car has a clean transferable California title in my name This car is currently registered thru 9-8-2012 This car comes with a valid rear California license plate and plates shown in photos This car runs and drives & good mpgl This car was made in Sweeden to be exported for sale in USA The exterior white paint is shiny/glossy and looks good. The black parts have a "matte" finish to offset the white. It is not the original paint job. The body is surprisingly clean/straight. There are some dings, not terrible but they do exist. There is a small dent in front of passenger side rear wheel. there is a picture of it. It is on bottom side of car and is difficult to see unless you are looking for it and you may still miss it. You will pretty much have to run someone over for them to see the dent. This car is good looking and gets a lot of compliments. Paint, head lights, tail lights, grill and wheels are all newer or like new. The 2 matching european plates are in very good condition including the stickers which are generally destroyed before leaving country. The european Volvo plate frames are in very good condition as well To say the interior of this car is very good looking is a total understatement. People usually say wow at least three times when they see it. It is super custom and clean and comfortable too. It is charcoal and black with amber like, exotic faux ostrich accents on the front doors , center front console panels, hand brake, steering wheel, glove box and center console cubby. The seating surfaces are nice clean soft charcoal velour and have no rips or tears. The headliner is an impressive bright white and in very good condition. The sun visors are bright white and black they are clean and look very good. The rug is dark black, super clean with no wear spots. Included but not photographed are Goodyear front & rear floor mats. The engine starts quickly in cold and hot weather. It is quiet and does not stall or overheat. There are no warning lights illuminated such as "check engine" or "service engine soon" The automatic transmission shifts correctly in all gears including overdrive and reverse. Easy to drive. There is a button on the shifter to turn overdrive off for more power, or on for better fuel economy. There is a light in the dash to let you know if its off or on. All of the windows roll up and down. All of the doors open and close from the inside and outside The central locking system works The steering has a new inner tie rod and boot and a ball joint. The others are good The suspension has new rear springs and new rear gas charged shocks The brakes are new front and rear including new oem pads and hardware, custom cross drilled front brake rotors, remanufactured brake power booster with master cyl Nice new set of 4 custom wheels, tires, lug nuts, and wheel locks with balance. the spare tire still looks new The headlights, brake lights, taillights, blinkers,blinker cancelers, emergency flashers, dash board lights, license plate lights, back up lights, windshield wipers and washers,engine bay light, trunk light, glovebox light, shifter light, overdrive light, dome light,cigarette lighter, voltmeter, tachometer and speedometer ALL WORK Stereo: open the detachable faceplate and insert your ipod, or the ipod nano that comes with car, into the stereo itself. Slide it in and close the faceplate. Now the stereo knobs and buttons operate the ipod. Rockford Fosgate speakers are mounted in the front doors and the rear deck powered by two 350 watt amplifiers in the trunk. It also has am/fm tuner, with plugs on back of stereo allow the addition of XM radio + one more aux input. It also has plug for sub woofer which can be controlled through stereo unit if desired. Stereo will also hold/play ipod classic gen5 and gen6, ipod touch, ipod nano gen2 and gen3. There are other adapter sleeves available on the internet for additional ipod models. Maintenance receipts include at minimum timing belt, timing belt tensioner, water pump, brake pads, hardware, rotors, brake power booster, master cyl, tires, wheels,lower radiator hose,tie rod end, ball joint, steering rack boot kit, idle air control, Gabrial ultra shocks, rear springs, grill, lights and lenses front and rear, spark plugs. Many have limited lifetime warranty! Of the many other parts that can easily be identified as new without paperwork are the radiator and original style spark plug wires for sure. I know I paid to have the thermostat, fan clutch and alternator replaced too when the timing belt was done. This car was being built for my sisters kid to go to school out of town. I had as much done to this car as possible to have it be reliable. Kid flaked on school so i'm selling car. I have way too much time/money into this project to give it to a drop out. Still looking for other receipts that may or may not be included. The odometer does not work, it did not work when i bought car. Volvos and BMW's are bad about odometers. Just because they work now doesn't mean they always have. Beware if your buying a low milage european car, odometer may have just been fixed after broken for decades. The part is cheap (plastic gear thats why they all break). The air conditioner compressor was removed from this car before i bought it. I bought a used one but have not installed it yet but will include it with car. This car leaks oil. Its not as bad in town but freeway driving makes oil spot on ground bigger. Car can still be driven. Does not affect how car runs, but should be attended to so doesn't make mess on driveway and bottom of car. It does not leak while sitting at idle. There are dings that do not show up in pictures, they can be difficult to find standing next to car too. This car has areas of surface rust in door jambs, repairable and not noticeable from outside or inside of car; only noticeable with doors open. Not that bad. The trunk floor and cabin floor are super clean and so are carpets. Sale includes; a set of keys for ignition, doors and locking gas cap, california title (pink slip), current registration thru September 2012, volvo owners manual, stereo owners manual, amplifier owners manual, Haynes repair manual, a used ipod nano to put inside car stereo, various receipts. This car is being sold "as is" "where is". A $500 deposit is required within 48 hours of auction close. Must be paid in full prior to pick up. Pick up must be done within 7 days. Buyer is responsible for picking up vehicle/delivery. Buyer agrees to pay sales tax at title transfer.
