This bike is in excellent condition and is ready to ride anywhere- just turn the key and go. It has been maintained by BMW mechanics only and comes complete with both of the owner’s manuals and all maintenance records. It has been housed in a nice, warm, heated garage. For some reason BMW discontinued these bikes, with the last model year being 2007, making a prime example like this one a rare find. Dakars are going for quite a bit more than this, and not in as good a condition. At only 18,000 miles, this bike is just getting broken in. The Dakar is the adventure version of BMW’s legendary F650GS and is a popular choice as the personal bike of BMW mechanics. Never offroaded hard, with a good percentage highway miles. The odo shows approximately 2,000 miles, as it was replaced under warranty at approximately 15,200 miles. Factory heated grips and ABS. Original owner, clean title in hand, no liens. Mods are: 1) Givi rack for two side cases and tail trunk 2) Fork Skins fork protectors 3) BMW engine bars Large, high quality soft saddlebags, originally $170, are available for $100. Only used once, they are very roomy and fit the bike well. There a lot of memorable places to see in this country from the seat of a motorcycle and this is the one to see them on.
