Vehicle Detail

Guys, this is easily my 15th BMW between Street, Drivers Ed, RACE cars. Old School BMWCCA member, former BMW Driving school instructor and general car nut. This car has always been worked on by the best shops where I lived. Has never seen the track. I bought this car as a daily driver, not a garage queen, but I bought the nicest daily driver I could find. I found this in a garage in SF where it was bought new at BMWSF. The owner rarely drove it (public trans to work) so I bought it with 47k miles in 2006. All records for maintenance prior to 47k miles are on file at BMWSF. They knew the owner and highly recommended I buy the car, so I did. Finding a 6 speed 540 in the right color combo with Sports Package was hard enough so I didnt need convincing. It did look kinda hokey then so I made this car fun. =) Mods:Factory M Parallels ($$$$) - Staggered on Kuhmos - tires in good condition.Slotted RotersStainless steel linesFactory front spolier (for 5 series - I didnt want to copycat an M5 - this is a 540i =)Rear spoilerDepo Angel eyes, clear corners (Factory just didnt make sense, you know what I mean)Depo Rear tail lightsDark GrillFront plate removedMagnaflow Exhaust (removed resonator and what felt like 50lbs) - I have video of sound, it is easily the best sound ever. I giggle every time I start the car, its what a german V8 should sound like. Note I didnt not keep the tip of the exhaust, I didnt want to cut the rear bumper so it looks clean back there. Everytime you drive by a car enthusiast they look at your bumper for the exhaust and see nothing. ;)Hardwired Valentine One (still the best out there) - Comes with RadarBMW Mudflaps (it never saw mud but these make it look meaty) All maintenance done, Recent work includes new water pump, gaskets etc. All records.Serviced atIn NC, serviced at Shade Tree garage in Raleigh In SF, Bavarian Professionals in OaklandBMWSF prior. Ok now the bad:Until 1.5 yrs ago the car was garaged and covered. I lived in SF so didnt drive during the week only on weekends and I liked to take long trips. I just like to drive damnit, Im a car guy. ;) Since then I have gone back to Graduate school (in NC) which means two things. 1) Its been kept outside as I cant afford a garage on a students budget 2) I havent fixed the little things I normally would right away. Two door dings, 1 on each side of the car (normally these would be gone the next day but Im a student now)Weather Stripping on front windshield is cracked all over. Amazing how this happened in 1 yr.Small crack in windshieldPaint - I painted the hood, front spoiler/bumper and rear bumper when I installed the front spoiler. The paint on the front bumper is chipped up again, the hood has a paint crack. The driver side rear door was also painted prior to my purchase (original door) as it was keyed, thats showing its age a bit.Angel eye lights arent hooked up. I never got around to it so you dont have the rings just the ellipsoids. All you have to do is connect them to a power source. I just got used to them this way.Otherwise, she is ready for an oil change (now) and you are ready to go. I think thats it. Im leaving the country at the end of the year and am really sad to see her go. I had an e28 535 years ago and that was going strong at over 200k miles until my dumb ass ex wife wrecked it, and I know this car will run even longer if you take care of her. Btw, I replaced the wife and the car! As I said, its not a garage queen (although most would think so) but its an amazingly beautiful, solid and fun daily driver. Oh, and you will want the V1 as this car runs best right around 120MPH... (sniff..sniff). Email for more pics and audio of exhaust. Good luck!
