You are bidding on a Mercedes 300TE,station wagon,rear wheel drive(not 4matic),traded on a new Mercedes. The good part first: car is rust free,there is no rust on or under this car,undercoating is original,one can count the bolts under the car,garaged kept,solid,original smoke silver color. Interior is a rare dark brown color,looks new,with the third seat ,spare,books,tools and first aid kit in the trunk. Rear hydraulic suspension is in excellent shape,no leaks,no bounce. All electrical options work:central locks and trunk pull down,sunroof,power seats,stock radio,all 4 power windows. Suspension,steering ,brakes and tires are in good shape. Engine has a new valve cover gasket ,looks clean and sounds smooth. Car runs and shifts smooth,goes straight on the road,brakes stop the car well,ABS is working,feels tight for a 20 year old Mercedes. There are some issues that a mechanically inclined owner can resolve: rear passenger side wheel bearing is noisy,will need replacement in the near future and the shipper who delivered the car from the dealer auction,broke the speedometer cable,so,you will need to replace the cable that is hanging under the car,right now. NO RESERVE,you can drive the car home,runs well,bearing noise is annoying,and you have no speedometer...so,that should be taken in consideration for a long trip.
