Also check out others we may have For Sale at this time by clicking on see other items at the top of this page. Here we have a low mileage 2008 GMC Sierra 2500 HD Regular Cab 4X4. It is the basic work Pkg. Truck with very few options except for the 6.6 Liter Duramax Diesel, and the Allison 6-Spd. Automatic Transmission. The truck was owned by the Virginia DOT and was involved in an accident. It has been used for Highway use only and was in almost new condition before the accident. It doesn't appear to have hauled anything in the bed. The State Of Virginia is Self Insured so the vehicle was never turned into an insurance company for an estimate, therefore it has a clear One-Owner Virginia Title. The truck has a good amount of damage on it, as well as some frame damage. The Engine, Transmission,Transfer Case, Etc. all appear to be OK with no damage to any major components. The Aluminum Valve Cover is broken on the Passenger side of the Engine where the Fuel Filter Housing mounts. Because the fuel filter and lines are disconnected we are not able to start the engine, but it turns over fine with the starter and does not show damage anywhere else on the motor that we can find. It should only need a Valve Cover and a new Filter Housing to start up and run. The truck has Low mileage for one of these engines and is worth fixing with the Clear Title or the Drivetrain could be transplanted into an older gas truck, Hotrod, etc. These engines without the PDF Exhaust System can make awesome Horsepower and the Smog Requirements would not be a factor on an older truck in most states.
