Vehicle Detail
We are selling a 1971 Ford Mustang Coupe with a 351 Windsor Motor, C4 transmission and 8" rear end. This car not only runs and drives, but the motor runs great, it just needs a tune up. It was originally a 302 engine. I have no idea when it was rebuilt but there is no smoke with the exhaust or any odd sounds at all. This motor is a real beast!!. The transmission and rear end seem to also be in good working order. The brakes don't work because the lines have broken in one spot. The car does have disk brakes on the front only and drums on the back. The car is 100% complete but we have pulled the interior out so you can see the condition of the floor pans, wheel wells etc. We painted the car with a grey primer in order to protect some bare metal spots all over the car. The car needs work on the rear quarters (not sure if they need replacement) or just lower skins, floor pans are rusted through in a couple places so I would assume anyone restoring the car would want to replace them. The front fenders probably need replacing because with the cost of new fenders its just not worth messing with them cuz their so cheap. The rocker arms are very solid with no rust showing. The trunk pan appears to be ok, but it is rusting on the passenger side by the inner wheel well. The interior of the car is complete including the instruments, shifter, console etc. All of the glass is the original Carlight except for the windshield. The door posts, roof and hood are all in good shape, but they all have some surface rust which we painted. The firewall and front inner fenders appear to be ok, but there is some rust. We did sandblast a couple of spots on the bottom of the car so you could get an ider how the metal looks. All in all this is a pretty solid car and a great prospect for restoration. The car does come with the wheels as shown and yes they are 60's in the rear. We have gassed up the car and run it quite a bit so the gas tank appears to be ok with no leaks. It appears the car was originally an A/C car but there is no A/C at the present time. There are additional pictures available if you want them, just e-mail me and we will send them to you. Any other infor you need, just ask, were not trying to hide anything.
