Hello and Welcome to my auction. Up for consideration is a very nice 1971, hugger orange, Datsun 510 4-door sedan. I have owned this car since May, 2006. I originally purchased this car off of a fellow in California through EBay and had the car shipped out to SWPA. I have included pictures of the car and I can take additional pictures upon request. Please, serious inquiries only. The car was running when I received it and had a very nice body insofar as any rust was concerned. All panels were in nice shape with only some minor pitting here and there and the body has always been pretty much rust-free. Here is a summary of work done on the car: Body: straight, fairly rust-less beginning platform. Solid floors. The entire body including doors and jams were stripped, smoothed, primered, box-sanded, and base coat – clear coat (chromabase) painted. The underside and engine compartment and trunk were cleaned and chassis saver was applied. Overall, the paint is in great shape and is approximately three years old. The car presents itself well. Both the front and rear bumpers were re-chromed. Imperfections are minor. The left-side Datsun emblem has gone missing. Many of the seals have been replaced and the glass is very good. Windows go up and down as they should. There are two sets of matching keys and all locks work appropriately. Polished swastika, 15 in “z” wheels are included. Mechanical: An L20B with rebuilt A87 (port matched) peanut head with a Datsun 5-speed truck transmission is substituted for the original L16 4 speed manual. Dual 38mm SUs with z-therapy throttle bodies are set up with dual air filters. “Z” struts with discs with adjustable camber plates are up front with standard 510 drums in the rear. A newer matchbox dizzy, NGK plugs and wires and MSD coil fire the engine. The car has been lowered about 2 inches all the way around. The rear fenders have been rolled for (slight) clearance. The car starts, drives, runs, and brakes very well. This car can be driven most anywhere “as-is”. All wheels were spin-balanced and the front end aligned. I had a local shop go over this car where it received a clean bill of health. Any and all receipts will be included with the purchase. Electrical: The wiring is in good condition and most everything works as it is supposed to. Lights, horns, signals, wipers, fan, etc. are all in good working condition. This vehicle passes PA safety inspection. Interior: The interior has been upgraded with replacement Honda Civic seats in front and the rear seat was covered to match. The car is orange on gray and black. The steering wheel is a nice older Datsun variety. The headliner is very nice. The dash top was replaced with new and the white needle factory gauges are included with a working tachometer. The speedometer does bounce some especially at lower speeds. The fuel gauge reads correctly. There is a Kenwood AM/FM/CD 4-channel head unit (with aux and USB) with 4 mounted (Kenwood front, BA rear) speakers. The antenna is straight and retracts. The lighter works as do the dome light and emergency flashers. The interior is very clean with small imperfections here and there. The carpeting is glued in place and came that way when I purchased the car. I find the seats comfortable but that is an individual preference. There is an owner’s manual, also. This is a quick overview of the car and I have described the car the best I could given the time and space. I can supply the most recent shop report(s) as well as all records since I purchased it five years ago. I just (last month) had the oil changed and the carbs gone over and adjusted.
