1968 Mustang Coupe 289 V-8 Auto A/C For sale is my 1968 Mustang coupe, dark emerald green metallic with black interior, and black vinyl top. It was originally a California car and is in outstanding condition, inside, outside, and underneath. NO RUST AT ALL. As far as I can tell, it underwent a complete restoration about 10 years ago. The engine has a tag stating it was rebuilt in 2001 at 81,300 miles, and the odometer now reads just under 86,000. It came from the factory with a 289 2 barrel , but now sports 302 tags with a Weiand manifold and Holly 4 Barrel carb, that was just rebuilt this June. It has an automatic transmission, which shifts great, power front disc brakes, and working factory A/C. Electronic ignition added to eliminate points. Factory power steering was removed at the time of the restoration, and the steering box is tight with great road feel, and no slop. The interior is in excellent shape, with an Eleanor console from "Mustangs to Fear", and three-point shoulder harness seat belts were added. It has a 9" Positraction Ford rear end, around 3.00 to 3.25 ratio, from what I can figure. Rear air shocks make for a nice ride, and low restriction mufflers give it a great, but not overly loud sound. Crager wheels with spinners add the finishing touch. Included is a Marti report, Marti copy of window sticker, and a high-end custom fit indoor car cover. It is not a show car, but I would rate it as an outstanding driver and it turns heads wherever I go. The car is located in Yonkers NY. Feel free to send an appraiser, or come see it yourself.
