Offered for bid is this rare VW Caddy diesel pickup truck that was made in 1980. It is equipped with a fuel sipping 1.5L diesel engine that delivers 45 to 50 mpg. The transmission is a manual 5 speed. The body is in good condition with a couple of small rust spots in the bed as you can see in the photos. There is slight damage behind the passenger side door, this is from a fence post getting in the way and not a traffic accident. Other than that the body is solid and clean. The interior is clean and undamaged, no stains or tears in the seats and it is driven by a non smoker. It does not have a radio or a/c. It has current WV state inspection valid through April 2012. The following work and parts have been performed/added: New right CV axle, new alternator, belts and hoses, 4 new tires, new clutch cable, new ignition switch, 4 new glow plugs and the head was shaved .009", new head gasket. It has been used for daily commuting averaging 60 miles per day. It runs smoothly and has been very reliable. Unfortunately I now need a full size truck that will haul large loads. I will miss the great fuel mileage! You can inspect it and test drive in Winchester, VA - just send me an email to set up a day & time.
