Vehicle Detail
1975 GMC 1/2 Ton Shortbed This is a 1975 GMC Shortbed with only 73,500 miles on it. It still has the original paint and has never been in an accident. It has a 250 C.I. 6 Cylinder engine and runs great, it is the first year for unleaded fuel and engine was set up for it from the factory. Still has the original sticker on paint next to gas cap "Unleaded Fuel" Still has original painted gas cap too. The motor runs and drives great and has HEI distributor. All oils and fluids just replaced, Runs stronger than any small block V8 trucks I have had. Transmission is the original 3 speed stick on the column and works and drives great as well. I did just have the bushings replaced on the linkage so it works freely and does not get stuck in gears. It has the original Yuba Gold Metallic paint still on it and has never been in any kind of accident. There is some oxidation on the paint in a few different spots as well as a couple of bubble rust spots at front of hood and at lower rear quarter behind drivers side rear wheel, they are not holes just bubbles of minor spots behind paint. I didnt think they deserved any repair or repaint from original. Has Standard Non-Power Disc Brakes, Non-Power Steering, all work great and because it is a light truck, doesnt need them installed. Has a dealer installed A/C and is all in good working condition. Blows cold. Has the factory 15" Chevy rally wheels, I believe they were installed after new by original owner. I am 3rd owner. Under the truck has no rust cancer spots, the engine compartment is as clean as anything unrestored I have ever seen. The interior is all original, dash has a couple of cracks under the dash cover, original rubber mat is still in truck and has a couple cracks. Door panels are good and no cracks, could use respayed to clean them up a little better. Seat was just recovered to as close as original with a cloth insert. Seat belts are perfect. Glass is all perfect and tinted. Stereo is new AM/FM CD AUX for Ipod, and has good speakers behind seats and an amp, works perfectly. Nothing has ever been cut for speakers. Runs and drives great and I just installed new 4" lowering shackle kit with new shocks on rears, new 2-1/2" lowering spindles and new springs and shocks on front. Rides good like stock in rear, about like stock in front maybe a little harder with the 1" lowering springs. Does not drag or hit bottom on anything as it is not that low. Just looks great. The bed had a bedliner rubber mat in it and very little scratches under it, I do not see and dents in the bed. The gauges all will be as new working condition, getting a set restored right now. I have a factory Tach that will go with truck as well. Has all new belts, etc. I have been driving it all over Los Angeles last 3 weeks in heavy traffic, bumpy roads, etc. Has no issues. Vehicle is sold in as-is conditions with no warranties as it is 36 years old. Vehicle sold where is and buyer is responsible for shipping. You can fly in and drive home anywhere. If you want to come and inspect it, always suggested, you will not be disappointed. Call me at (805) 207-7421 Thanks, Kenny It also has a 12 bolt rear axle, fluids just changed. There are a few little dings, paint is a little patina'd, very original.. Reserve is set loooow. Buy it now is 10,500.00 or make your best offer. Have Fun!On Sep-06-11 at 16:17:30 PDT, seller added the following information: I had a coiuple of questions about smog in California. It's a 1975....Last year of NO SMOG.. Thanks again, Kenny
