Due to a recent loss in the family, we are selling off quite a few things that belonged to my grandfather. Up for auction is his 2002 Lexus SC430 Convertible. It currently has only 59K original miles on it, and is in mint condition inside and out. My grandfather was the original owner for all these years and always kept the car in excellent shape. It was always garage kept in Florida, never abused, and only driven seldomly, as he had a few other cars as well. It has been very well maintained since the day it was bought new, and is in super running condition.This car draws compliments wherever you go, and many can't believe what outstanding shape it's in for a 2002. It is a rare midnight blue color on the outside, with tan leather on the inside (probably the nicest color for this car). It is loaded with every single option- V8 engine, leather, heated seats, power seats/windows, memory seats, 6CD changer/cassette, Mark Levinson sound system, factory chrome rims, mahogany interior, xenon lights, keyless entry, alarm, etc. The car has always been babied and garage kept, and needs absolutely nothing. Maintenance has always been kept on it, and all the services are completely up to date. Everything in the car is factory original, including the carpets, and the spare tire has never ever been used either. Along with it we have 2 Lexus keys with remotes and all of the original owner’s manuals/pamphlets as well. It is like you are buying the car from new! It has been very lovingly cared for throughout the years and will be sure to please the new owner. EXTERIOR: The outside of the car is in overall mint condition. As mentioned, it’s always been garage kept and definitely shows it. Absolutely no dents/dings/rust or anything of that sort- maybe one or two "hairline" scratches on the body (see pictures), but nothing really noticeable. Paint has an excellent shine and is very glossy! INTERIOR: The interior of the car is in excellent condition as well. The seats are all in excellent shape and every single option works- the heat is hot, the air condition is cold, all the power options work, all the electric components, etc. All else is great, and the interior even has that new car smell! MECHANICALLY Let me first start out by saying that I wouldn't hesitate to drive this car tomorrow from Florida to New York and then back. This car was checked out from top to bottom mechanically and needs absolutely nothing. The engine and transmission are perfect, it doesn't leak anywhere, no noises coming from anywhere, and it's very smooth on the highway. All of the maintenance on the car is up to date, and even the tires are like new! It drives like it just came out of the showroom and is ready to go anywhere. As a final note, all I can say is that this car is in close to showroom condition all around. If you're looking for a very well-maintained Lexus convertible that has always been babied, this is it. I’d be hard-pressed to find another one in nicer condition. I just want to clarify- the car was never involved in any type of accident at all. The accident on the carfax is really not an accident- the car was on the highway at one point and it was involved in a pile-up of a few cars that were each hit (lightly tapped, really). So the only damage that was ever on the car was from the rear, and you can still see it- a small cracking of the paint in the rear bumper that was never fixed. That's it. The car never had any body work/paint work, and doesn't even have a dent on it. It was never involved in any type of accident. Thanks
