Up for fast sale with no reserve is one 1998 Subaru Legacy Limited GT. This great little car just had a JDM motor put in it by Bennett Motors here in Great Falls, MT. The mileage at the time of replacement was 215,271 and now the odometer reads 230,159 miles. These Japanese Domestic Motors that Bennett puts in have between 40 and 50 thousand miles on them when they get here. Then Bennett puts $2,500.00 worth of new timing belts, water pumps, seals and gaskets on them before you pay $3,828.96 total for the new motor. I do have the receipts for this motor swap as well as other receipts as well. Bennett will provide you with a complete list on the car as well if you ask them for it. Yes the first motor lasted for more than 215k and these are great little cars for the snow and the highway. We also have a wagon and both of them will get 30mpg on the highway and about 25 with alot of in town driving, great mileage for an all wheel drive car. Our wagon has 175,214, no doubt these are great powertrains in these cars. Anyway the car runs like a top and I would drive her anywhere as is. The leather interior is in amazing condition for the year and there is only one little hole in the drivers seat by the door that is hard to even see as it is black leather. The car also has remote start which is a really cool feature in the winter...just turn on the heater when you shut it off the night before and click the button in the morning and about 5 minutes later you will have a warm car ready to go. all power windows work properly as well as the sunroof, however you do have to jiggle the switch on the sunroof sometimes but it always works. The windshield has no cracks ond the tires are also good...at least one more year left in them. The car did run into the back of a truck hitch about 8 months ago and split the fiberglass front bumper cover and bent up the radiator and condenser etc. pretty good so i had a new radiator and new cooling fans put in as well as replacing the belts and coolant lines. All in all she is a great little car with alot of life left in her, we are only selling it as we are forced by family issues to move and can only take one car and the RV on the move. I love this car and the wife is smart and pointed out the wagon will carry more as it has the roof racks and is longer to begin with...bottom line is my baby is making me sell my baby. Kelly Blue Book shows the car without the factoring for a new motor is $3,790.00 in good condition and with the mileage at 80k it shows over $6,000.00.
