Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 This is a very rare 1973 GT750 K model. There seem to be a lot of 1972 bikes out there, but this 1973 in red, is very rare. I have not seen another one on the road. It combines the best of the 72, (Cone exhausts, body shape, 3 slide carbs etc) with double disc brakes for great stopping power. This is a must for all GT750 collectors. Please read THE WHOLE description before e mailing. I will assist with international shipping if required. I will drain all the fluids and deliver it to the shipper, but I will not be responsible for crating. I have owned this bike since 1997 and finished a ground up restoration in 2000 and put it back on the road. I have full service records since then. Everything was done to this bike and there are too many NOS parts to mention them all, so just look at the pictures. All nuts and bolts and misc metal parts were zinc plated. All frame parts and misc brackets, were powder coated to a high quality. There is no rust on this bike. The engine was rebuilt in 2000 (see 4 pics) as well as the brake master cylinder and calipers, using NOS kits. There is no rust in the tank, and the petcock has been rebuilt. I quit riding bikes in 2007, but have just not been able to part with this bike, but now it’s time. The paint was redone by an expert and is just incredible and is the original factory color scheme. All the chrome parts were re-chromed except the exhaust, but they are great with no acid stains. An acid catch bottle has been installed to avoid it in the future. The right pipe has a few scrapes but see pics, but they are not bad. The wheels have been re-chromed and laced with stainless steel spokes, and the hubs were polished while apart. All new control cables. The forks were rebuilt and polished while they were apart, and tapered head roller bearings have been fitted. All electrics work. This bike won best in class at the Huntington Beach Concourse d ‘elegance show in 2003. She has been registered “Non Op” since 2007, but she has been started periodically and the carbs have recently rebuilt. A new battery has been fitted and she starts and runs well. Brakes have been bled and she is ready to go. Converted to synthetic 2 stroke, so she does not smoke too badly compared to the good old days. She has never seen rain since 2000 and is totally reliable. I took it on a 3 day trip to northern CA in 2006 and she never missed a beat. I will be sad to see her go, but better that someone else enjoy her, than to sit in my garage never to be ridden again. Study the pictures, and please….no silly offers. This is a no reserve auction, so if there is a bid, it will go home with someone.
