It is roomy, comfortable and the turbo diesel engine has more than enough spirit to move you down the road! It is also quite economical and gets very good fuel economy, especially on the highway. This clean Mercedes looks as good in person as it does in our photos. Make this one yours! Options: Finished in tuxedo black with a silver accent stripe and beige leather upholstery, this VERY CLEAN 1999 Mercedes E300D features about everything that you expect in a German luxury car beginning with the smooth and responsive 3.0 liter 24-valve turbo diesel powerplant teamed with an electronically controlled 5-speed automatic overdrive, driver, passenger and side SRS (air bags), fully automatic dual zone climate control featuring a factory R134a refrigerant charge, 4-wheel ABS (anti-lock brakes), power windows, central locking system, power mirrors, power driver’s front seat, factory alloy wheels, factory sound system, 4-wheel disc brakes, cruise control, service reminder system, power sunroof, rear window/rear view mirror defroster much more! Yet ANOTHER Clean Southern Ride! This vehicle is riding on a very good set of Michelin ® touring tires! Service and Inspection Report: This has been my personal vehicle since 2007. I have traveled all over the southeastern US in this vehicle and it has always performed well. Over the years, I’ve kept the service current and took care of anything that even remotely appeared to be a service needed. I’ve taken care of a few major service items as I do on any vehicle. For starters, the cylinder head was removed in early 2010 to have new glow plugs installed. While I was at it, we did a major service on the cooling system as well as other underhood components. All parts were OEM during the service work. When the vehicle was down for service, the AC system was serviced including a new Behr® evaporator core, drier and expansion valve. The compressor was also replaced at that time as a maintenance decision. The system performed fine, but had a very small leak which I traced to the evaporator. It’s done and I just did a routine AC service which included a new drier, fresh refrigerant charge and a shot of refrigerant oil. I typically replace driers on my AC systems every two years or so on my personal vehicles. The vehicle also had a new master cylinder in early 2011 along with a full brake fluid change using DOT 4 fluid, as spec’d by Mercedes. The brake pads and rotors are good all the way around. All of the necessary filters have been changed and the transmission was serviced a few years ago. It all works great. All in all, we did what would have amounted to THOUSANDS worth of service to this vehicle if you bought all of this after the sale yourself! Shop around and then ADD IT UP!
