Only 20,000 original miles Just arriving from West Virginia, this fabulous collector car was sold to Chemical Valley Lumber & Hardware of Foster, West Virgina by Raines Lincoln Mercury on May 31, 1978. The story goes this car was purchased along with a sister Gold Diamond Jubilee at the same time by business owners Frank & Emma. This car came to the second home immediately in Clermont, Florida and remained there with the family until given as a gift to one of the company managers in 2009 and returned to West Virginia, where we acquired in two months ago. The Diamond Jubilee Edition is the most sought after of the Lincoln Marks. The Diamond Jubilee was a series of 5,159 cars made to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Ford Motor Company. An $8,000 option on the Lincoln Mark V series that made the Diamond Jubilee the first Lincoln to exceed the $20,000 price barrier. Diamond Jubilees were only produced in two colors; Diamond Blue and Gold Moondust metallic. They were the first Lincolns to be made with bucket seats and a console. They were equipped with a special velour pillow interior with embroidered inserts. This lovely car has traveled just 20,000 miles since new and was very well cared for by one family. It has just received a stunning new base coat/clear coat repaint in its factory Silver Blue Metallic. The body was rust and accident free, but the paint had faded and needed a refresh. It is equipped with a factory moon roof – the most desirable option. The interior of this car is 100% original and includes the Jubilee special accents of the color keyed grill / turbine wheels, special hood ornament, padded spare tire deck lid, special pinstriping, and rosewood interior appointments. This car is equipped with the famous Lincoln 460 cubic inch engine with 4BBL carb. At 230 inches long, this car floats down the road.
