2002 Ford Explorer 4X4 SUV This vehicle was seized by the police department following an arrest. The vehicle has been sitting in storage for almost 2 years. We applied for an abandoned vehicle title through the State of Ohio and we were granted a "Salvage" title. This vehicle is being sold on a salvage title with mileage unknown. The successful bidder will need to pay a $50.00 fee to the Bureau of Motor Vehicles and have the vehicle inspected by the Ohio Highway Patrol. All of this information in on the Bureau of Motor Vehicles website and should be read prior to bidding. The vehicle is being sold as-is, where-is with no warranty or guarentee by Lake Township. We have not had the vehicle inspected by a mechanic so we would encourage personal inspection. The vehicle does need brakes so we would recommend towing the vehicle home. All that being said, the vehicle does run and drive. Transmission shifts appropriately. The Explorer is clean for a 10 year old car. Some rust showing on the passenger side dogleg and passenger side front fender. Equipped with the 4.0 V-6 engine and automatic transmission. Interior is in good condition. This vehicle is being sold by the Lake Township Board of Trustees and will run the entire auction time. There is NO buy-it-now. Vehicle is being sold to the highest bidder without reserve.
