This auction is for a 1966 Porsche 912/Complete 911 Conversion Coupe Project. This is a rare car with very little rust, making it even more rare for a project like this. This project has complete 911 suspension and S aluminum caliper brakes, and is ready to be an awesome street/track project for the Porsche enthusiast. This custom project has a modified body with IROC style front and rear valences, and SC fender flares. The car comes with no engine or transmission, but is an easily movable/steerable rolling chassis. Please read my description in detail to get an accurate picture of the state and condition of this vehicle. Exterior: The body is in overall solid condition, and the roller sits on a set of Porsche OEM Cookie Cutter Wheels. The floor boards, rear torsion bar area, door jambs, and other parts are in solid condition and don’t appear to have any rust damage. There is one rust spot in the passenger side of the front suspension tray (please see photos for view of this spot from underneath and from above). The car is by no means in concourse condition, but the paint is uniform in color, and does not have any major blemishes. There are nicks here and there, and the color is a bit dull, but this car has not been waxed or buffed in several years. The glass is all in good condition and secured. Please note, however, that the quarter/vent windows have been replaced with plexi-glass. The front and rear spoilers and bumpers are aftermarket “IROC” type pieces. The rear fenders are SC flared to fit wider rims in the back. The front spoiler has a functional aftermarket oil cooler built into the air dam. Interior: The interior includes a complete dash, font seats, carpet, and many of the switches, knobs, etc. The shifter assembly and pedal cluster are also complete and included. The car is missing a steering wheel, gauges, radio, and some other pieces. The dash has been recovered to match the custom gray interior. Mechanical: The car does not include an engine or transmission. The car does include most of the wiring, full suspension, and all brake components, all of which are 911 parts, installed as a part of the conversion. All of the steering linkage is in good working order, and the car is easily rolled and steered for getting in/out of the garage and on/off of a trailer. The tires hold air, but are old and should be replaced before use on the road. Details: This vehicle has a clear title, and is ready to sign over to the new owner. A $500 Paypal deposit is due within 24 hours of sale. The balance of payment is due within 7 days of sale via certified check, wire transfer or cash in person. Pick-up or shipping of the vehicle is the full responsibility of the buyer, but I am happy to meet your shipper to load the vehicle at a mutually agreed upon time. Full payment must be cleared before vehicle pick-up. This is a great project opportunity for the new owner, or an excellent source for valuable parts. The car does, however, need a lot of work to be made whole, and I want all potential buyers to have a complete understanding of what is/is not included, and the condition of those pieces.
