Vehicle Detail
No Reserve Auction Check out this fully sorted 1973 914-6. It's a high quality Chalon bodied car popular in the 80's, but stands out today as a well built/preserved vintage icon. Very solid rust free California car. Super fun to drive. Fast. Full stainless headers and custom exhaust (sounds amazing). Bilstein sport adjustable shocks. Front and rear sway bars. 911 brakes and hubs. MSD ignition. Oil fed Carrera tensioners. Pop off valve. Built 901 transmission (shifts flawlessly). 7.5&9x17 Cup II wheels with new tires. 1" spacers/adapters all the way around. Momo steering wheel. Very clean interior with only a few tears in drivers seat cushion. All interior lights work. All exterior lights and blinkers work. Horn and windshield wipers work. Their is way more invested in this car than I could ever address here, and no doubt much that I haven't yet discovered or recognize myself. PPI welcome. This is the most fun air cooled car I have ever driven, and it's an absolute crowd pleaser. Paint has held up remarkably well over the years and has very few flaws with no dull spots, hazing, glazing, spider webbing etc. Car is not prefect anymore and was completed many years ago, but a serious 10 footer still today (5 to those not as fastidious as us Pcar owners). Don't miss this very unique opportunity to own a vintage, properly built 914-6 Chalon. Most likely the highest level build of one of these ever. Would make a great weekend hotrod right now, as is, with no help, or....mayby a 914/6 GT re-body down the road? Everything else is done. Thanks again for looking and good luck!On Sep-11-11 at 13:56:22 PDT, seller added the following information: Update: 9/11/11, I have been asked how many miles on the motor/drive train. Unfortunately I don't have any idea. This brings up a point I forgot to mention, the speedometer is not working. I don't have any idea how long it has been inoperable, nor looked into the cause. Most likely a simple fix. Also, the car has no heat capability do to the absence of heat exchanges because of the full stainless headers. Beyond that, everything else, including all other guages work, and like mentioned above already, the car runs terrific. On Sep-14-11 at 15:05:50 PDT, seller added the following information: Edit 9/14/11: I just discovered the emergency brake isn't completely holding the car in place and may just need an adjustment. Thanks.
