WOW, WHAT A FABULOUS CARONE OWNER FOR 53 YEARSREADY FOR A HEMI?? 1950 DODGE WAYFARER COUPE This long term survivor was sold new to Mervil Jones of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania by Shively Motors on January 18, 1950. Mervil was a life long farmer and known for his frugality. He drove this car for the rest of his years, until becoming and estate car in 2003. We have the original title copy and paperwork from the dealer. Bought by a client in 2006, it seems like this car is very original except for one repaint long ago and a recovered front seat. Ready to restore to original or add a vintage Hemi and create a old school Hot Rod. The single stage repaint in it's original Dove Gray has held up exceptionally well and see no evidence of no body work or rust when repainted. The car's chassis has never been undercoated and is very solid. Very nice chrome and stainless trim !!! It is equipped with its original Dodge straight six cylinder and three speed manual fluid drive transmission. It seems that Mervil kept up the mechanical maintenance over the many years of ownership, as the car drives like new. Very nice original hubcaps and rims. The odometer and all gauges work.
