for sale is a 1972 FORD MAVERICK SPRINT, 302 v8. the 1972 maverick sprint is a special edition that ford did for the us olympic sprint team in 72. 1972 is the only year they did the maverick sprint. it is still the orig. paint on the car, an it needs a new paint job. it has some rust on the rear quarters and it just suface rust it would not take a lot of work to get the car ready for paint. the interior needs some work to, it needs a head liner and the seats need work. the interior is orig. but the seats the seat came out of a nother maverick. and the door panels are dyed black. it has a built 302 with 289 heads. the engine has less than 200 miles on it. it has a steel crank turned .010 .010 with clevite 77 bearings, flat top pistons, seal power molly piston ring, hv oil pump, and everthing else is by lanuti like, lifters, cam 496/ 520 lift, cam bearing, push rods, rocker arms value spring, retainers.and double timming set and more. i had a racing machine shop do the machining on the 289 heads. it has a hv aluminum water pump and fuel pump. elderbrock intake with a 650 cmf demon carb. the at trans has a hurst shift kit and a 3500 stall converter. headers with flow master exhaust. weld wheels with drum brakes in front an rear. it drives great and sounds great. the trim code is RB . i dont want to sell the car but i found a rat rod that i want i know that is something i missed . and i have all paper work that i did on the motor
