Vehicle Detail

This auction is for 1969 chevrolet standard bed pickup. Small block chevy, 350 transmission. The truck has been on the east coast for 10 years. It has been in storage since 2003. Previous title state is Arizona. Truck is in remarkable condition for an east coast truck. All body mounts good. Rockers have been replaced. Floors original. Pretty solid. A little tender out by the outside edges, but very useable as is. Goes down the road straight. Stops nicely. Geared a little low. Perfect for cruising. This truck would make a great daily driver for anyone to scoot around town or commute to work. I received the truck pretty much as you see it. It looks like it was painted some time after 2003 and they simply never put it back together. I bolted the bed back down, flushed out the gas tank and put a battery in it. I have probably driven it 100 miles +/-. Sounds good, goes good. Power steering, power brakes. All glass good. There is some over spray on the bottom edge of the windshield inside that should clean up with a little work. Seat nearly perfect. I did put tires on it as the ones that came with it had weather cracks on them. What needs to be done to this? The directional lights do not work in the back. The horn does not work and the rear emergency cables are physically missing. All the brackets are there for them and the forward cable and linkage is all in place and appears serviceable. Almost everything that needs to be done on the truck you could do in a weekend. It needs a dimmer switch for the head lights. The high beam and low beam do work, but needs a switch. A tree branch came down in a storm and put a dent and a scuff on the front fender and edge of hood. There is a very good picture of that. Easy fix, no big deal. Not 100% rust free. A couple of places on the doors show a little blistering, as the bottom of the drivers side front fender. I do have a pretty decent OEM tailgate from a Montana truck. Very little rust. Has a real repairable dent on the top edge. Keep in mind this is a 42 year old truck and tailgate. I will include the tailgate if you hit the "buy it now", otherwise I will list it after the truck sells. I don't like to point out whats wrong with the truck, but I would hate for you to be disappointed even more. If you are local, you are welcome to come look at it, just call first to make arrangements. Make sure you watch the video. We have excellent feedback and work hard to keep it that way. Ask questions before you bid. Priced to sell, bid to own. Buyer is to make all transportation arrangements. I can assist in loading and will work with you.
