Vehicle Detail
CONDITION, GENERAL INFORMATION: For someone who is serious about recent American horsepower, this 1995 Chevy Caprice Classic 9C1 is in great mechanical condition! I’m not going to put a thousand pictures of the car up, as most everyone looking at this listing already knows what a 1995-96 9C1 is and what it looks like. So the pictures I offer only show that the car does exist. This vehicle was a certified police vehicle in the State of New York. This car is still VERY Fast and had a recent top speed of 148 mph. As a police vehicle it does have the usual factory 9C1 offerings. My husband and I have owned many 9C1s/Impalas, and still have a really neat 1995 1A2 Wagon in SS trim, so we know these vehicles well. We were in the process of restoring this car to make ourselves a tight, white Impala SS clone, but decided to sell to make room for another collector car we purchased. So out this one goes to make room for our “new” 1975 Olds 98 Regency! The famous High-Performance Chevy LT1 Engine is well cared for and exceptionally strong. The 4L60E Transmission and G80 Posi-Trac Rear Axle are 100%. Within the last 6 months or so, we’ve put new brakes on the car, new rear caliper (right side), new front suspension linkage, new Air Conditioning Compressor, new performance exhaust, Impala SS Grille and Spoiler. All the expensive work has been done for you! Factory Options include the Chevy LT1 5.7L/350 V8 Engine that was also found in the Corvette and Camaro, etc; Power Steering, Power Drivers Seat, Power Brakes, Power Windows, Power Locks, Power Side Mirrors, Top-Line GM CD Stereo, G80 Posi-Trac Rear Axle, Ticket Light, Air Conditioning, Rear Defogger, Provision for Unity Spotlight on Drivers Side only. WHAT IT NEEDS: Mechanically, this vehicle runs very well and is still a blast to drive as we still take her out for a stroll now and then, but it does have its needs. If we were to keep the car, we would want to fix the following: Rust repair/body work and paint; the Gear Selector Collar on the Steering Column is broken but it is still functional and replacement column goes with the car (see below), replace the Left Rear door (replacement also included in sale), and new tires and shocks and whatever rims we would put on it. Included Items and Spare Parts: 1. Complete Steering Column (swap turn signals stalk and ignition lock and steering wheel), 2. Power Steering Pump 3. Left Rear Passenger Door (also white) 4. Left and Right side front fenders (also white) 5. Left and Right Inner Fenders 6. Hood (white) 7. Trunk Lid (Garnet Red) 8. Impala SS Grille (on the car) 9. Impala SS Real Spoiler 10. Rebuilt 9C1 Certified Instrument Cluster 11. Spare Water Pump MILEAGE: We bought the car with 85584 on the clock and have put another 50,000 on her over the time we've hgad her. But the odometer is acting up and and flashing werror and eroneous number once in a while, hence the new instrument cluster that goes with the car. So, for the purposes of ebay, the mileage cannot be verified and the title will reflect that. PRICING: Look on ebay for an LT1 engine or a 4L60E transmission in great condition. Add the value fothe spare parts and we already exceed $2500, nevermind the rest of the car. So do the math and buy the car and get almost all the parts you need to restore it for free! 1994-96 Crap-Can Caprices needing a LOT of mechanical work are still selling for $3500+ everyday. Winning Bidder to send detailed contact info via ebay messages and we will tell you where to send a $500 non-refundable deposit within 72 hours of auction close. Cash or verifiable bank checks only. No personal, business or non-domestic checks, no Credit Cards, no Money Orders, no PayPal and no scams. We’ve seen them all. If you don’t have the money to complete the sale, do not bid. Do not waste our time. We will immediately issue negative feedback. We reserve the right to end the auction early as the vehicle is for sale locally. If you snooze, you will lose! INSPECTION: If you wish to inspect the vehicle, please contact us through ebay messages to set it up. DELIVERY: No delivery. Buyer to pick up vehicle in Notre Dame/South Bend, Indiana. These cars are becoming MORE RARE and MORE EXPENSIVE and usually need a lot of mechanical work. Do the body work yourself and make it your own for a lot less than buying a finished car! We are reserving the right to close the bidding as the vehicle is also offered for sale locally. Again: We reserve the right to end the auction early as the vehicle is for sale locally. We'll do our best to answer any questions through the ebay process, but we travel a lot. Give us a day or so to respond, although there's not much more to tell you. So, give this old girl a new home and a new lease of life. Good luck everyone!
